i asked the same thing a while ago and all i got was you get attacked by two sith shadows and then you have to go defeat a bunch of sith in a camp. I am dissappointed, but im going to test and see anyways.

From everything I've seen thus far in the FS Quests, combat skills are required to even gain entry to the Village where you gain Force Sensitivity skills. Some Old Man appears to say go to the Village, but you need to kill some Siths in order to gain entry.

I can't even begin to describe my frustration at this. What a joke. I pay the same money, there's no indication in the SW movies that either Anakin nor Luke were combat-driven before their Jedi training, this is inexcusable. I'm not posting another word in these forums until I calm the **edit** down.

Sorry, folks. We've been had.

I seriously hope I'm wrong, but don't get any dreams of Jedis in your head. At this point it seems very unlikely.

Didn't I tell you once this week that your naievete was cute?

Seriously, it sucks. But it's exactly what I expected.

Let a "pure" combatant see this and get ready to hear, "J3d! 4r3 c0/\/\b4+4n+ d00d" (Jedi are combatant dude)...

/sigh

I'm not sure, I know of a Crafter that had an NPC help her kick the Sith's booties. I don't know if that is being tested or what. (It was Nancy the BE Corr if you'd like to ask her about it). If they do make an assisting NPC for non-combat types, we would be fine as long as we get flagged as non-combat too (however that's happening).

I just ran through this myself last night. I also noticed that all of the dialog talks about you being a Fighter, Crafter, or Medic. No mention of straight Ent or Ent/Scout. Which seems a little silly to me considering that we are just as combat worthy as a straight crafter.

I do know that you can turn in Dance XP for the FS Conversion. I'm really still trying to get all of this worked out though. If you do have time to go test this as a Dancer, please let me know what you would like for me to bring up to the Devs. Right now I'm just trying to watch and make sure we are getting the same types of options as either Medics or Artisans.

Well i got the visit from the old man just walking out of a city he came to me pretty quickly. My Character was a master dancer, master fencer, etc. Immediately afterwards I dropped all combat and picked up tailor so i could see what it was like (never been a tailor before it looks really nice ) and was about to drop tailor for doctor so i could heal some poor guys health disease which had him black barred.

I do plan on running this as a master dancer, possibly master medic, with no combat skills on tc2 so we will see. ThoughI seriously wonder if a sith shadow is going to wander into a cantina to attack me . And when they do i better hope they arent difficult to hurt using a cdef or a survival knife.

Oh did i say i love being back

Ok tested it on TC2 it took13 minutes ( it seemed like forever ) for me to kill one of the sith outlaws with my novice survival knife. I even had a mount that was helping me. I was almost ready to start on the other outlaw when the server shutdown. You definetly must have a little combat skill to get past this first combat challenge to get to the village. Especially if your jumped without 85% composite and a full set of buffs.

Is there any way you can just ignore the Sith fellows and just wait until someone else comes along and kills them for you? That's what I'm doing in the Jabba's Palace themepark and it seems to be working so far. I guess the developers expected everyone to be sogung-ho for combat that they never put in any safeguards to deny mission success to those who took Sun-Tzu's Art of Warapproach of "never fight a battle if you can win without fighting one".

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.

"I pay the same money"

This is where I stopped reading. I don't care if you also happen to play this game if you don't pick up a combat profession you don't do the quests. What? Did you expect the whole quest cycle to be based around dancing and crafting shirts?

My sig is of little use now due to the fact that I have quit.

The idea that all force sensitivesmust befighters is completelywithout foundation. Besides, we don't expect the 'whole' quest structure to be based around non-combat skills, but certainly we should get the option of being able to gain force sensitive abilities that enhance our non-combat skills without engaging in combat to do it.

To expect us to use skills we don't normallyuse in order to gain force powers in our chosen professions is kind of like expecting combat folks to grind non-combat professions in order to become Jedi. I would have thought that combat-oriented folks -the people who so recentlywere expectedto grind dancer and musician against their will (if they wanted to become Jedi)might have some sympathy for that particular plight, but it seems that some folks just cannot see things with any objectivity or fairness, even when the situation is very similar to that which hurt them in the past. What a short memory you combat-oriented folksseem to have. The hologrind is not even over, yet you seem tohave completelyforgottenits lessons.

Continues, but not much.

Got in village and spoke to elder (Rohak). He offered combat quests, crafting quests and healing quests. I chose healing quests (they might need bf or mind wound healing... ) He directed me to person called Sivarra Mecheaux. Who was supposed to be somewhere in village, but I couldn't find him/her.

For the enhanced senses line. It's 10 to 1 for Dance XP, I'd guess music was the same. I can't remember what it is for EH, I'll write it down next time.

I don't think the Rohak part where you say you are a Crafter, Healer, or Fighter went right for me... and now I'm just converting Dance XP.

yzhnn - Let us know if you find the Healer NPC and what she says. I can't find her either and I think I've talked to all the NPCs there.

Doesn't work here since you have to loot datapads from these sith guys.

Anyway I managed to kill them with cdef pistol and master musician/master entertainer/master tailor/ID 3000 template (and buffs and compo). Although it took some time

But next mission was to kill 3 siths with 10k+ ham each. That was too much for my patience, so i bribed some uber combat dude from planet channel to my help. He was happy to get hawtpants and I looted another datapad with waypoint.

I guess we can't find this NPC because of different 'phases' of the village. ie. not all of them NPCs are available at certain time. If I understood correctly. (Or it is just bugged

I think phase lengths are one day for TC2 and three weeks for live servers.

-I've got too many characters
