Thread: Just one more lingering question without a 100% positive answer...thanks to everyone who has posted!

Ok, first question is this: someone told me that it was possible to loot a schematic from the corvette that enables a tailor to make a +10 dance/musician mind enhance piece of clothing. Is this true? I always thought the exquisite leotard was the only schematic that gave dance mind enhance.


Second question: I've read may posts on these forums trying to figure out what the cap on dance mind enhance is. From what I gather from most of the posts, the cap on a stat is +25 for BE modifiers and +25 for CA/AA modifiers. So it is possible to get +50 BF healing if you have +25 BE modifier and +25 CA modifier? Is this correct, or is it just +25 total. Also, I have +25 Dance Mind Enhance with 4 CAs(+11, +9, +3, +2), if I use an exquisite leotard do I get +30 or is it a hard cap of +25?


Final question: if I'm twi'lek, do the inherent BE and Wound +15 modifiers I get affect the caps on CA and BE modifiers for clothing I wear?Or can that add on top of the +50?


I'm trying to figure out what the best Dancer suit I can make is without wasting modifiers, so I'm trying to confirm what all the caps are. Any help and answers to my questions are appreciated

First question: nope, sorry..but don't we wish! The Exquisite Leotard from the Jabba Themeparkis the only item that may be made by tailors which contains a bonus to mind enhancement.


Second question: The skill cap is set at 125. This means that no matter how you mix it, a skill can not be higher than 125. The max bonus to base stat total for any stat is +25. There is no bonus to mind enhancement that may be made by BEs so that's moot in the case exemplified.


Final question: Your racial bonuses are a component of your base stat and everything else stacks on top of that. You can still add up to +25 to your base in other bonus sources, until you max at 125 for the stat. While your stat sheet will show increases above 125 (unless they fixed this when I wasn't looking), the effectivecap is125 for all skills.

The only dance enhancement I know of is the leotard. I think most of the stuff in the 'vette is combat oriented. Berserker rifle schematic, components for it (I think), AV-21 schematic, AV-21 powerplants, etc...


There very well may be something in there, but I've never seen or heard of it.

I know of no such thing from the corvette...

+25 aka total of 125 (there is no BE for BF healing only wound) As for the exotic as far as I can recall you can only put 1 of any type of CA in any one piece of clothing. ANd since the exotic already has a mod you can't add a dance mind enhancement CA to it. I'll see if I can't dig up the CA thread..

Hmm I believe the racial mods do stack but that one I'm not sure on...

Warning warning!
You're quite possibly aware of this, but don't go putting those CAs together in one article of clothing, or adding one to the exquistie leotard. Only the first CA will have an effect (the first CA of any particular type) in an article of clothing (or so I've been told).

True..an item of clothing can only effectively contain one enhancement per skill. If more than one enhancement of a given skill is made in (such as with BE tissue enhanced cloth) or placed in (with CAs), only the highest of the bonuses will be effective. Ie: If you have an Exquisite Leotard with the +5 mind enhancement bonus and you add a +1 enhancement, the bonus provided will be +5. If you add a +6 enhancement to the leotard, the bonus will be +6 (negating the +5 provided inherently by the leotard). However, the leotard may be worn with 4 other clothing items; hat, belt, gloves and shoes, giving you the opportunity to use 4 additional mind enhancement bonuses when wearing it.

On second thought..a couple of additional points. If a CA has 2 bonuses on it, only the highest of those two bonuses will be effective unless a bonus higher than the highest on the attachment already exists on the item. For example: An attachment that has +4 to artisan assembly and +3 to mind enhancement will only produce a bonus increasing the artisan assembly skill of the wearer, unless the clothing item already contains an increase to artisan assembly that is higher than +4.


An exception to the 125 cap (unless this has been changed but I think I would have heard): Food will stack above base stats and bonuses to increase beyond the 125 cap. While there is no food available to increase our skills in buffing or healing BF, Caramelized Pkneb can increase our Wound Healing. Even with really great BE tissues added to the chef product, I don't think the bonus would go higher than +15.


I have 2 crafting alts, one is BE/Chef and the other is Tailor/Architect. I've never been asked to make Caramelized Pkneb. I've only a few tailor customers who purchase Wound Healing enhanced clothing. Most masters seem to feel it is a waste of their credits in that the bonus benefits the player watching them rather than themselves.

Thanks for all of your answers so far Ok, so the cap on any skill is 125, and I understand now that any type of modifier can only be +25. Also, you're mentioned that each piece of clothing can only hold 1 value of a modifier; so I can't put a Dance Mind Enhance CA inot the Exotic Leotard. I have a +11, +9, +3 and a +2 Dance mind enhancement CAs. Can I put these into a pair of gloves, belt, shoes, and a hat while wearing the exotic leotard and get the +30 dance mind enhance? If so, then +30 is the max possible? I now understand about the BF and the wound healing, thanks for all of your help

+25 will still be the max bonus to your base stat possible.


And to clarify one thing. The Exotic Leotard is not the item that contains the bonus to mind enhancement. The +5 item is an Exquisite Leotard. They are identical in appearance.

Doh, you're right, I meant to say the Exquisite Leotard, thanks for clarifing. So I can't get +30 Dance Mind enhance? I guess I should just not use the leotard then so I can wear more clothing to put wound & bf tapes into since I have the +25 in CAs alone. Thanks so much for all of your help!

Are you sure about that? I read different stuff: That it was a limit per kind of bonus. If that was the case, it woud be theoretically possible to have +30 dancing mind enhancement. Assuming that you don't have only +5 and +6 skill tapes it would require you to stuff the Leotard, your shoes, additional gloves and an additional bandolier full with skill tapes. And: Who has so many skill tapes anyway? On Infinity a good rule of thumb is that they go for one million credits per point of enhancement (except for the real low ones he might be cheaper). And I never looted one 'til now.
Is here anyone who had ever the chance to try it out?

Assuming that you don't have only +5 and +6 skill tapes it would require you to stuff the Leotard, your shoes, additional gloves and an additional bandolier full with skill tapes. So you're saying it is possible to get +30 dance mind enhance? I already have the tapes, I have a +11, +9, +3, and a +2 Dance mind enhance tapes, which I could put into a hat, belt, gloves, and shoes. This was one of the reasons I posted this question; I could wear them with the exquisite leotard and get +30, but that won't help if the cap is +25. However the others who have replied say that +25 is the cap, so I don't think I'll use the exquisite leotard. Now you've thrown some doubt back into this question lol, some people say +25 is the cap, you say you aren't sure that is true lol. Is there anyone who is absolutely 100% sure that +25 is the cap or not or if I can actually get +30?
