And why? TIA

Personally I find melee lots of fun, and it seems to go with the Dancer "feel" nicely. Plus it gives you lots of neat weapons to hold when dancing lol.

All 4 melee elites are popular. I think tka and 2 handed swords are the most common here, followed by pike then fencer.

Pistoleer/smuggler is also a popular choice.

Skill wise, TKA would probably be the best match for dancer since TKMs can self heal everything but battle fatigue. So, with dancer added in, you can self heal everything.

Pikeperson is the best. We get a giant axe.

Nightsister Energy Lance

It costs a whole lot more than any dancer can afford, and is to hard for any pikeperson alone to obtain.

I love TKA with dancer. You can solo most of the npcs and it holds up in pvp as well (though you're obviously not going to beat a stacker.) It's also one of the least broken professions. Meditate heals all your wounds and can cure bleed, disease, and poison. Between that and dancing off my bf, I call myself, "A lean, mean, self-healing machine!"

I'm leveling TK now for this reason. I'm also doing a line of fencer for the defences. It's killing me to give up my pistols but without BH or smuggler lines for pistols, I'm not good if someone ticks me off in the cantina. This will give me a fighting chance.

I always liked Teras Kasi for my dancers.. The idea of it being that they could be a kind of dancer/assassain.

That being said.... I think every elitecombat profession goes well with either dancer or musician.

Yeah, I had thought about taking the TKA line along with a couple more. I'm working on the character builder now to see what profession will enhance my dancing profession. You guys are the best! Thanks for the responses!

TKA is SOOOO overused. Pikeman can pwn about anything easily. I'm an 0030 pikeman, and I soloed a Kimogila(with buffs and armor of course). I can't go higher because I have 0 remaining skillpoints.

You know, I did the pikeman thing on character builder and it has possibilities. But would I earn enough to get the uber armor that seems to be the necessary thing for attacking Kimo's? (this is where a sugar-daddy ingame would be a hoot)

It is used alot yes. yeah Pike is great in pve. In pvp, you need the right equipment which can be very expensive. For TK a good set of VKs cost ya 50-60k. Still cheaper. If you worry about cost that can be a factor. I've know a few Pikeman and italways looked. They have a lot of fun with it. For me though, being in a martial family in rl, TK is natural. I have to agree that Pike may be fun for you.
