No, not base dances, and no, not the AFK macro problem. But, they fixed registering with a location in today's patch to TC!
I'm in the midst of testing it right now. So far, it is working perfectly. Enter any Theater, Hotel, or Cantina, do a /register, and the symbol and everything instantly updates on the world map. Leave the building, it unregisters your character automatically. Logout while in the building, it unregisters you automatically.
Yay for working features!

Mmk, lets look on the positive sides of this.
- One of our features now works properly(yay to no bugs).
- This will really help those of us who have player cantinas or who like to dance places other than the buff bot havens. It will make it easier for the players to know where we are.
And the big one
- AFK supporters now have no arguement about how if buff bots are removed, players will never be able to find an entertainer. This is now totally and completely not true. With registering working, players will be able to know exactly where the novice and up musicians and dancers are performing at. So, not being able to find entertainers can not be used as an excuse any more.
The only negative is that, yes, buff bots will be able to use it too. But, I say let them use it and get players in the habit of using the feature. That only benefits us too, and will make things that much better for us once they are eventually gone

I'm really, really sorry folks.
I was being a Negative Nellie up there.
I'm just very, very upset that they've nerfed the new loot schematics, so once again we have a sharply divided group of have and have-nots. It sort of spilled over into here. I learned some Architect just to learn some of the new schematics, and was excited to find that I really enjoy making Architect stuff (and there was new loot that people would enjoy me building for them). The new loot was (finally) more decorations for all of us in the game who don't have 2 million to plop down for a stupid COUCH.All the loot schematics are now 1 time use only. Prices will skyrocket, it's already started. I'm a little tired of the filthy rich and the AFK Combat loot campers in this game making out like bandits, and enjoying new stuff - while lots of folks eyeANYTHING new with extreme jealousy and frustration. For awhile, things were fair. Now, once again, the rich get everything new.
I had my hopes up that once /register was fixed, it would be a much more beneficial system and more intuitive.
The important thing is, YES - /register is fixed, and that tired argument of no one being to find Entertainers (yeah, riiiiiiight) will soon be DEAD. Thank the Maker. This really is a good thing, as someone cruising by my player cantina will know I'm in there, now. That's STELLAR. I only hope people understand the /register system, and utilize it to it's fullest extent.
Sorry again. I had some looted schems, and I wish I would've made them into factory schematics yesterday - then I could give them away to good friends and some newbie broke Entertainers (or broke Ent veterans), so that THEY could have a piece of the proverbial pie. Yesterday, I was going to make the schems so that folks from all income levels in-game could afford some new and exciting stuff (fight the 100k couch sellers, be one of the 5k sellers). Today, I'm bitter that the new loot will be hoarded and profited from mercilessly just like countless other things in this game. And, I'm powerless to have utilized the stuff I had for factory schematics, so that I would have had crates of wonderful and (now) rare things to give to folks - which would have been very special. I'm all sorts of disappointed and frustrated over that.
ANYWAYS - ignore my spewing of negative junk. I'm an idiot.
Thank the Maker - we actually got something FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in shock. Truly. Can't believe they finally fixed this. This was a necessary step on the way to removing recursive macros. Good job, devs!

Hey all it's me, taking a break from the smuggler forum because my name appears way too many times on the first page (20 I think
)
Saw Warryyr's post in here. That does make me mad as well. It's a schematic for a chair, or a big computery thing, it shouldn't be rare, everyone should be able to have Starwarsy looking stuff in their house or hall or wherever.
Also, congrats on getting something fixed
It's the small victories that pave the way for the larger ones...

Sweet! That covers all but one issue on my list.
The remaining one is factioned cantinas. Have you tested that yet? (Not being able to register in a cantina placed by a member of a faction if you're not also a member of the faction.)

I (neutral) just registered in Ahsidh's (rebel) cantina, so I guess so
