Thread: THink i have the most failures for the theater quest so far.

Up to 4 now, 2 wanted rhythmic dances one wanted flo 5, did the flourishes started raising the statisfaction rating, then it just bombed to neutral and failed me. I hate this quest timer so much. =*(
It seems to me that tatooine is bugged, all the people i know that have tried it there have all failed as well.. anyone have any luck at mos eisly's theater?

Eisley has been my only failure as well, except tonight on my last performance when I wasn't on stage in time. I queried the entire audience and found what flourishes to do or not do, but never got told what dance to perform.

I've failed like 4 times in Entha until tonight when I actually had success then acheieved popularity rank 2 and bombed the NPC audience. Some advice..take a friend with you and have them talk to the audience while your up on the stage getting ready. My Renea's husband did that for her and it helped a lot.

Well, I succeeded in Eisley on Ahazi for both the audition and the first performance, using the PatentedDeila Audience Approvalmethod (tm), following some reports that the audience did not always provide the needed info to succeed. I was given one good flo, but only the last audience member to spawn (very late in the scheme of things) said that he wanted to see a particular dance.
Then, when helping a friend out in the same theatre moments later, none of the audience members provided a requested dance for her. I canvassed the crowd, was careful not to miss any of the audience members, and /conv with each of them at least 6 times, to be certain. Additionally, audience members are regularly spawning behind the seats, to the sides of seats... when I last tested the quests on TC, these thingsjust didn't happen.
There seem to be new bugs,and the audience will not always state the desired dance or flo as they always did in the tested TC versions. Something seems to have changed in the code at a very late date... something untested perhaps. Possibly related to rumors ofthe Formals and Lyricals being pulled out of the dance selection rotations? Was this ever confirmed?
Strange things are afoot...

With one character i failed twice then easily moved on through the next sections...and my other character I have failed 4 times on the first performance. First time I didn't talk to the audience...but I did the rest of the times and they just aren't giving me anything to work with.

It's a roll. They won't always tell you what they want/don't want. If I understood it correctly when it was explained to me, there's like a pool (array?) of answers and the ones with real info are pulled at the same time. So, you might get all the useful info responses and other non-info text one roll, then next time get only one info reply or even none.

Ah....see, I don't like that. If it's random what we're told, and there's a chance they aren't giving us enough information, how exactly is it our faults that we fail? Whether we are allowed to continue with the quest or not is basically up to chance. That's extraordinarily annoying.
Yes...Drygo failed AGAIN this morning because nobody in the audience gave him a dance to do. He got a flourish, but not a dance. I'm incredibly pissed off that I am being gated in this quest due to random chance! I don't have a lot of time to play during the week, and I really wanted to do this quest this weekend, but was not given the chance to do so because of a dice roll. I am incredibly ticked off at the moment.

Yeah, I don't like it either... it wouldn't be such a big deal if there wasn't a 24 hour timer and you could do them back to back (like it was on TC for a while... where I failed over and over again just so I could talk to them for testing

).The other thing that bothers me is that they request level one base dances, which is just silly considering that level one dances are supposed to be replaced by level two dances when you rise in skill. It would be like having a combat quest for pistoleer that asked for Bodyshot 1 when you had Bodyshot 3, just silly.
I think that's because Musicians do have all unique everything. They don't have any replaced songs, they play each as well as they are going to when they learn them and just have new instruments unlocked. We are really so much more limited in Dance than in Music, but most of the Devs and QAs play Musicians and I think they just don't really understand that it's because of the way we are setup.

WHAT?! I had no clue about the level one base dance. Maybe I should have tried popular instead of popular2 this morning when I failed again because of a random dice roll?
Livid...does not even begin to describe how I'm feeling right now after this morning's failure. A 24 hour gated wait due to random chance.
I was *really* looking forward to doing this quest this weekend. I thought it would be fun, and I wanted to come in here and give the devs a thumbs up. But, no...instead, both mornings I come in here incredibly frustrated wanting to throw my computer out of the window. Now, I can take it when I mess up and fail a quest. I cannot take it when I am not given the information and tools that I need to successfully complete a quest and THEN I am told to wait 24 hours (which for me, means next weekend).

Failed the first performance for the third time on Sunrunner again last night. Again the audience gave me no useful information, though this time I at least got don't do flourish 6. I had two other people helping me talk to the audience, too. And with this 24-hour retry, I can't even attempt it again until after work tomorrow, since I'm not staying up until midnight tonight to fail the thing again.

Lol, I failed the 1st audition...didnt' get to the stage on time, the first performance twice, finally got it the third time, then I failed the 2nd performance *sigh*

Even on TC the dance was NOT allways stated. I have passed one audition though when the music wasn't mentioned ( just 2 or 3 flos ). Yes I did say music ( I've done both ).
