Thread: Poll Should the Musicians Get Their Song?

Okay, there is a discussion going on over in the Musician Forum regarding whether or not the musicians should get their song even if our dance is broken. This is of course dependant on whether the two halves of the quest can be separated or not and if the devs are willing to do this.
Given that they could be split and the song quest could go live on its own, do you, as a dancer, think that the musicians should be able to persue the quest and get their song even if dancers have to wait for a fixed dance? You can elaborate at will.
1 - No!
2 - Yes!
3 - Don't know/care
Okay, me first. I choose number 2. I think that the musicians should get their song. I appreciate the solidarty they are showing over in the thread where this is being discussed, but I don't want them to have to wait just because the dance is broken. Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that I don't care for the dance anyway! LOL! Anyway - its a great song and I'd love to hear it on live!
Anyway, we should let them know where we stand on this issue.

Musician's shouldn't be punished for mistakes of the developers.

In all reality, we're two closely linked professions, yet still completely independent of each other. Based solely on that fact, I believe the song should be available to Musicians as soon as it can be released.

Don't count my vote, I'm a musician. I am just afraid that if we did see them split it two things would happen.
1. The dance would sit on the shelf forever and the number of players affected would be cut in half making it a smaller priority than it already is.
2. we would then be seen as two communities not one further splitting what little percentage of the payingcustomers we already may be.

By all means #2. They should get their song if it's ready to go. Then we can have something new to dance to!

#3, it's simple... I just feel that both quest should be available at the same time. I'm Master Dancer and Musician.
I like to have both available for me, but If musician quest is out. i too, fear that SOE won't fix the dancer new dance.

Option 2 definitely. I think it's fantastic that they feel that refusing their song based on our broken dance needs to be asked, but they shouldn't go without for our sake!

Dangit, why the hell do you Dancers need to be so selfless...
I love you all.
I'm still not budging, though - I don't want my new song before you guys get your dance. And if they do split the Quest, I don't care - I'm still not going after my new song until they fix your dance and add it to Live.
So there 
But, really, very sweet of all of you to be so selfless. It's the single greatest thing about folks in our professions, I think. We care more about doing things for others rather than for ourselves.
I don't say it enough, but it's great playing and talking to people who are so thoughtful, caring, and compassionate.
Usually I'm just up in arms over some issue or another

with both a master dancer a seperate master musician I would say wait. But only because I am of the mind that if the quests were to be able to be split, I completely believe they will not focus on the dance. With the song working, the devs are under pressure to fix the dance, since they need to get the working song out to the musicians. If they did send the song out, while Warryyr is the greatest, I would find my musician immediately pursuing the quest.
