I've been told there is a way to get good healing xp by doing a command /activateclone now.

this is meant to give you 100% wounds and 1000 BF. what i want to know is..

1. is this an exploit?

2. how do you do it? ive tried and it says you can only do this while dead though i see people do it in the cantina all the time.

Any help with this would be great

thx

It's been verified as an exploit. Given Sony's recent history with this sort of thing, they'll probably look through logs at some point in the future and retroactively ban everyone that abused it.

I wouldn't use it if I were you.

it isnt an exploit if your killed

1. Insure everything

2. Die

3. A lot

4. Go sell XP/ give them to a friend

How can it be an exploit if it is a command that was CODED by SOE?

They're talking about using the /activateclone command to generate wounds, they're not talking about dying a lot. One is an exploit, one is not.

It is an exploit due to a bug that can only occur under specific circumstances that has to be done intentionally by a player. It will be fixed in the upcoming publish. I would highly recommend not using it.

Yah, its an exploit because it also removes tef - so the potential trouble it may cause in PvP is evident. I was told about this and tested it with a friend - is definitely an exploit. Even though it is nice to have an unlimited source of BF and mind wounds, I recommend sticking with your local friendly CM, cos youcould land yourself in a lot of trouble, even if your intentions are not an abuse of the code **winks**

By that logic, Sirii, there are no exploits in the game since it was all coded by Sony.

The command is related to cloning. Cloning is what you do when you die. Ergo, using it any other time to any ends is an exploit.

A good litmus test is if you are doing something that the command is not intended to do. The tricky part is that we don't know what all the commands were intended to do. However, this is a pretty obvious case that it is an exploit.

Not totally. A few people I've talked to tried to find out from CSRs. Some said exploit, some said not. Which is a big problem if we're getting two different answers.

The biggest problem here is if they do decide to ban for this one, which isn't game-breaking like the multi-slicing or the Geo cave exploit before it was opened, they're going to be banning a whole crapload of accounts. People have used this and entertainers themselves have used this to help each other get past the healing XP trees, since healing XP is practically non-existant. People have done this for me to help me with the last legs of musician healing XP, and I've returned the favor(before it's been identified as an exploitm which I actually HAVEN'T seen it identified yet, as I've said before.)

But honestly, going along those lines, a lot of things could be exploits. 3-minute buffs when they're supposed to take 8 minutes, AFKing your way entirely through a profession(we saw this one coming), etc. I think SOE ought to worry about people ruining professions more than people giving themselves wounds.

I don't think any accounts will be banned because of this. However, they are definitely removing it in the next publish (read it in the patch notes for In Testing).

to clear this confusion i asked JustG about it a while ago. he said it IS an exploit, however they won't ban anyone using it until they fix it.

we (New Unity) are banning people using this exploit in our cantina, and i'm not gonna help anyone use it. call me uptight, but i'll never use an exploit to get xp =/
