Poll: Lore Missions

As a Social Profession, a lot of Dancers have expressed interest in Player Made Content. There is currently a proposal in the Correspondent Forum on Player Made Missions and it has now been pitched for us, the Entertainers.

Many proffesions at one point in time have asked for proffesion specific missions. The idea is simple, haveing a option via entertainer proffesions, to be able to make missions for various proffesions by a drop down list.

The storyline however short or long would all be on your part, mission would work similar to a mission terminal, but the entertainer would be the ones makeing and giving the missions ( not the payout )

If doing missions well, and you have great creativity people will remember you, come for your buisness, and more missions.

So if your giving a mission to a commando, it would be commando specific, maybe you overheard a Imperial while in a cantina about a shuttle that would be landing that a rebel commando may want to 'visit'. Or telling that TKM that there has been a guy floating around the cantina's boasting about his fighting skills and been beating all chalengers. To draw attention to this feature I requested that payouts should be matching current payouts from mission terminals

I read that like four times and I still don't have a clue what you mean by these "Lore Missions".

You say they're player-made, but what player would choose to design a mission with stuff as inane as how many change dances you should perform? What sort of player could have the ability to give out a badge?

I am just really confused. Can you help me understand what you mean a bit better, Panthu?

Well, lol, I edited the font and colors... does that help?

It's not my proposal... let me take it back to the source and ask for more details... I may not be explaining it well.

OMG..I would DIE for anything resembling UI based quest development tools!!

When I first heard that Holo was going to be on this project I knew we would someday end up with a truly great virtual environment..the perfect place for a die-hard, create-your-own-content person to play. I've been very fortunate to be involved in Neutron-7 (if you don't know about this, do a search)and related projects on Chilastra and what we Really need is UI based tools for quest creation for ourselves, others..even large groups.

Panthu, I realize that what you've described is just a tiny step to that end..but it is a step in the right direction.

[Add to this a fewthings to help with the more mundane points of event planning;more functions for /notepad and the ability to view /notepad entries and e-mailin a client side (offline) db. Orthe ability for mayors to place more objects in cities which could be used for clues and programmable NPCs (sometimes werun out of merchants)..well..you'd see me get so silly you'd never get that rubber nose off of me!]

Be careful..you're treading on to ground I've thought about for years and you're likely to end up with a fat list of something you didn't ask forin your PM box.

Yes, this whole proposal has Holo written all over it... this is his kind of thing. I'm sure you understand it well... run with your ideas here, maybe they will be more clear than my explanation.

I only havethree criteria to determine whether these will be useful to us or not:

1) Can the missions be issued by an unattended character through the macro system?

2) Can the missions be completed by an unattended character through the macro system?

3) Will the loot make an unattended character more efficient in what it does (ie, enhancement bonuses), giving an owner of an unattended character every reason to go through the quest long enough to get the loot and go perpetually unattended?

Ifany of these questions is a yes, then I am not for these missions.

Am I creating a mission for myself? For others? I'm still way confused.
