I'll assume you're referring to me here.
The Cantina Crawls are for everyone, on every server. They happen on Bria, but we get a lot of people creating new characters over there just to have fun at the crawl. It's essentially a cross server event at this point, so I post it here (and on the other entertainer forums). I also post it on the Bria forum as well (once Jeassa posts the event thread for the appropriate week).

Title says it all. How does your galaxy events help dancers on other galaxies? please post on the Bria Forum like you were meant to.
Just ask ANY Ent who has attended one. We have many who come crossserver.

Blamj, you really don't espress yourself well at all. Or perhaps its just that you don't care how you offend others. Instead of making snide, sarcastic remarks against those of us who are from Bria and post here, why don't YOU tell us what YOU are doing to create and/or participate in event on YOUR server?!
Thanks, as always you are a breath of stale air.

Actually it is a valid point. Nothing against your cantina crawls but this isn't the right forum to post them in.
Also it should be noted....

Fair enough. If one of you folks would like to suggest an appropriate place to post notices of cross server events aimed at entertainers, I'll go post them there instead.
And don't tell me the Bria forum, please. This is a cross server event that just happens to take place on Bria.

Oh, also, do you object to me posting the videos as well? That could be construed as being Bria-centric same as the event.

If we didn't post entertainer events in the entertainer forums then half of the entertainers here wouldn't even see them. I know I only visit the Bria forum on occassion, myself.
Oh, never mind . . . what's the use. . . .

The Reply:
I would like to continue to see threads for cross-server entertainer events here in the dancer, musician and entertainer forums. I myself don't have time to read every forum from every galaxy to see if maybe there's something going on - as a dancer, I feel that it's appropriate to see them here.
Rambling thoughts... brainstorming to follow. No real points, but things to consider:
I think that the various falloutthreads after the last Cantina Crawl regarding the Strongbodia incident pushed into Bria-centric threads, but this was fallout and could not have been prevented by you, Javier. Just let them die off, and we'll be back to a profession forum once again.
The Cantina Crawl threads do look like galaxy-specific events though(i.e., Cantina Crawl VII - Bria), even if it's generally recognized by the regulars here that they're open to cross-server visitors. /shrug ... maybe if they really are taking off as true cross-server things, change up the threadtitles and eventnamesto make that clear. If it's Cross-Server Cantina Crawl, here. If it's Bria Cantina Crawl, Bria forum. Semantics at that point probably... but then again, maybe a more accurate reflection of cross-server cantina crawls would be to host them over different servers each time?
I could see there becoming an issue moreso if there were say 8 servers having bi-monthly "cross-server events", as we'd get pretty inundated with threads about pretty galaxy-specific things. Frequency might be part of it... if something really is a cross-server thing (today's thing on TC, Cantina Crawl 6 on Bria) where a lot of people are jumping over to participate for a one-shot, it belongs here. Down the road, if more servers get their own regular things going and fewer were server hopping, well, maybe get the threads back to galaxy forums. Especially if those characters created on other servers are being played every two weeks, even just for the events... at that point, those characters are a bit more of galaxy regulars than cross-server visitors. Semantics again, perhaps.
Maybe it's just that bi-monthly things start feeling less like rare, special cross-server moments... and start seeming more like regular,galaxy-specific events. All in the perceptions.

SWG has an events forum. Just follow the rules for advertising events.

No no... I said could not have been prevented by Javier. As in, completely not his fault.
Fallout is fallout, and it just gets out of control.

Again, that's fine if the Cantina Crawls were for Brians alone, but they are cross-server events. Most people don't read the forums, and even fewer read the Events forum, and I'm willing to bet virtually no one reads about events happening on servers where they have no presence--I know I don't.
The Cantina Crawls are no more just Brian events than the Entertainer Memorial is just a Brian cantina--there is plenty of cross-server representation and support for both of these, and they helpserve the Entertainer community as a whole.
