Thread: New Top Issues List
Even though armor boots and gloves offer no protective values, dancers are unable to equip the armor they have used to draw attention to their hands and feet while dancing prior to CU.
Dancers would like to have entertainer related content such as the once-proposed Hutt Casino. We would like to see a more complex quest system for entertainers, an expansion on the template of the new entertainer quest in Mos Eisley would be a great start.

Specific bandflo flourishes not found in normal dances.
Specific bandeffects (like smokebomb, centerstage etc).
Add bandflo icons like there is for normal flourishes.
Enable /banddance command for syncing bands changing dances.
Is there any way of forcing band members into formations? If they have enabled band abilities maybe commands similar to droid/pet formations to keep performances looking sharp.

The lack of marketable, profession interdependent skills needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Yes, the biggest issue in my opinion. Plus there should be something of appeal to combatants in order to bring cantinas back into a social and community 'hub' as they used to (and should) be.
Unattended play is still as rampant as ever and contributes to a poor game experience for those players who play the Dancer profession as well as those who visit the cantinas. Almost as big an issue and has to be addressed before the entire community of ATK dancers and musicians simply give up. For every bot account that would quit I can almost guarantee an (or several)ATK player(s) would arise.
We suffer from a huge skillpoint to functionality disparity. Many dancers have indicated they would like dialog with the developers about the possibility of reducing the skill point investment for entertainer professions. I for one would not like to see this at all. Adress the first two issues adequately and then this wouldn't be desirable or necessary. Taking our sp down or to zero will totally destroy any semblance of an entertainer community that we still have. May as well eliminate the professions and give all the abilities to everyone, something I would never want to see happen. What concerns me most about thisis that I know many ATK full time performers who rarely or never read these forums, and I have heard none of them call for a skill point reduction.
...............
These would be the top three main issues. All the issues that you listed are valid things to be discussed, and any of these additions like mission payouts or new quests would always be welcome. It has really concerned me in the last few days that wehad all viable 'purpose' besides social removed, (and the social is quite thin when no one has a 'reason' to watch a performance or even set foot in the cantinas) without introducing a new market of any sort for us.
Thanks Esharra for working hard for us and taking the time to get these concerns before the Devs

Being able to teach while dancing would be great, having to stop in order to teach everyfew minutes gets annoying IMO.
Agreed.
All flows and dances should end up exactly where the started or we end up drifting all over the room and into a wall lol.

Oh god yes!
Being able to stop dancing *immediately* when you want to, like a musician can. Instead, we have to wait until the flos are completely done.
I'm not suggesting dancer or any other entertainer profession become a bard, rather I suggest giving our defensive a bump up in ability and raise our combat level to 54 at master. The preCU dancer had +7 to ranged and melee defense. Lets give that defense a bump up to +70 ranged and melee defense. Dancer and musician would give no offense bonus which would keep people from choosing dancer/musician in order to have the "uber" template but those dancers and musicians who also had a combat profession would also not suffer a huge detrimental effect for having their dance/music abilities. Also those master dancers/entertainers who have NO desire to participate in combat would be able to safely go into player cities without fearing that level 10 NPCs will triple incap and kill them anymore.
A master dancer/musician would be CL 80 and have 140/140 defense BUT they would have NO weapon accuracy or speed therefore not be viable PvE combatants, BUT they would also not be vulnrible to instant death if they were invited out into the wilds to entertain in a camp or something.
1) Unattended characters ruin the atmosphere of the social player's game area mainly through use of repeating text in macros.
2) Removal of the post combat support role has crippled the entertainer profession for a large part of the entertainer community. Is it possible to return some of that functionallity to us?
