Thread: Guide to Patch 12.1 Buffing
Music Buff (Not Bugged)
For the Music Buff you can be grouped or if not grouped you can /startlisten the musician they can /setperform you and when ever the time is up you /stoplisten and there you have your music buff.
Dance Buff (Only Grouping/Passive Buffing is Bugged)
For Dance Buff you can /startwatch they can then /setperform you and when the time is up you /stopwatch and there you have your buff.
For Getting Both Buffs at the same time, AND the only current way to get group Dancer Buffing to work,
For GROUP buffs, You would have to get invited to a group that has both a Musician and Dancer.
After the time is up you will need to /stopwatch the Dancer FIRST!!!(very important) and then /stoplisten the Musician.
Or if not grouped you can /startwatch the Dancer and /startlisten the Musician and they can both /setperform you. When the time is up /stopwatch the Dancer First and then /stoplisten the Musician...
And for the Live Players that are both Musician and Dancer... (Mostly Hearsay But supposedly they work)
If you group start doing your music buff first when your done with that do the dancer buff have the group do a /stopwatch and then a /stoplisten
After your done group buffing as a Dancer simply /setp each person in the group
After your done group buffing as a Dancer play a few seconds of music(You do have entertainer after all) and then everyone can /stopwatch and then /stoplisten
Also of note (as implied by the above work around) the musician listened to doesn't need to be able to buff. So someone with a Novice Entertainer Box can be used.

That look right to everyone else ?
I figured we should put something like this up ASAP. So that it can be copy/pasted to any heated threads needing it.
- always /stopwatch first
- the only way you can get a Passive(grouped) dancer buff is by also *simultaneously* getting a musician buff
Follow those two rules and dance buffs will work.
And it won't be stupid to any groups that do get buffed by a Dancer and Musician as most of us can finish up a buff in 3:20. That could be a group of 18 players with all 3 mind stats fully buff in 3:20... I don't know about you but that shaves a crap load of time off that players don't have to be in the cantina if they don't want to be.

Incorrect.

So a Toon that does both Dance buffs and Music buffs is screwed due to the wants of the minority of the game..........
First, it's a bug, and not due to "wants" of anyone.
Secondly, any entertainer character who does both Dance and Music buffs can easily /setperform for both, one after another, and have complete success as always.
