Some info gleaned from the Stratics House of Commons Dev Chat...

Yellow name is thechat moderator, with familiar red-tags for dev responses:

^J^ *Dissonance* Combat Upgrade Question: What kind of changes will be made, if any, to the entertainer professions, or will those be waiting till after CU?

[Keldarin] We will not be changing Entertainers as part of the Combat Upgrade. Entertainers will be getting updates afterwards with the non-combat profession revamp.

[TH] The good news is that the first change coming up real soon is tha musicians and dancers will be able to buff in parallel now!

[TH] No more waiting to put on two buffs!

[TH] And then the other exciting news we have is that we are increasing entertainer mission payouts - - all of those changes will come before the Combat Upgrade.

Keldarin says it above (and we love Keld!)... Entertainers getting updates with the non-combat profession revamp.

And... ahem... what was that in the last line from TH?

He says that as if it's a new enhancement . . . . *rolls eyes*

And, I'll jump for joy over the increased mission payouts when I see what they are . . .

I loged into test a few minutes ago and checked the mission payout. I recieved two missions one for 1100 the other for 1200 (both dance) recieved 2300 in my bank for 10 minutes of dancing. YAY rich, wonder if SOLO missions pay more. haha

Looks good, BUT I have become jaded in my old age. When its in place, then I will cheer. Like sis said it isnt a new development. Just a fix of of a former nerf. Not to be totally negative, we are getting some attention, which is nice.

Guys, please don't make me sad! *sniff*

You have no idea how hard we worked to get attention on these items: Tiaga, Me, Jessi, Sart, Deila, New Jedi, RavenMist, Kwee, TechnoCan, Gyopi, even DocSavag, TheRealTK421, and other non-Ent related Corrs gave us support to help get these items in queue.

Mission payouts, register, dual buffing bug, you have no idea how many threads, emails, and PMs were dedicated to these problems. That's just on the Corr side! We have Devs trying to justify getting our issues in queue more often too.

You have to remember, we're the weirdos! People don't really understand our problems until they've spent some time playing an Ent. We are unique, we aren't a universal gaming concept like Combat and even Crafting.

It just means things are a little harder for us, we have to explain that much more, we have to be that much more patient, but if we are, the end payout is going to be wonderful for us. We all have things about these Ent profs that make us the goofy passionate bunch of Ents we are. Pleeeease be happy that we are being worked into normal fixes and updates.

Yes, it's not the ultimate content of our dreams yet, hopefully some of that will come during our revamping, but just being worked into the normal schedule is a huge win for us and a great sign that we are getting closer to what we want as a Community.

It's ok to celebrate the small wins.

I think it is great! The mission payout alone is very exciting to me. I remember thinking "how am I ever going to afford to pay 5000 for novice dancer". I tried doing missionsfor the moneyand almost gave up dancing at that time.

there is no reason for any entertainer to spam TIP ME all they have to do is play the game and do a few missions for the shoes they wish to buy (as in many macros I see)

Wow, a new Entertainer can actually take missions now and survive in-game!

It's been a rough go of it for some of us financially, but maybe the mission fix alone will make people stick with Entertainer. I've often wondered how many new people start dancing or playing some music, then look at the missions...."hmmmm.....170 credits for an Entertainer mission.....1200 for a combat mission....think I'll go with combat."

It's great to finally see some things improving for us!

I was getting pretty worried there, for awhile...

It's not just new entertainers... I used to spend about 80% of my game time dancing in cantinas. I now spend perhaps 15% simply because I can make a lot more money with my rifle than I can with my dancing shoes. I had no idea we would see any type of improvement before the CU. This is great news! Now we live entertainers can once again team up to give buffs in half the time and we can take paying gigs. I'm so excited I might just slide out of my chair...oh wait... no they fixed that too

hooray for everyone who helped make this happen.

Don't get sad now

I think the entertainer community appreciates their Correspondents probably like no other profession. We know you all do great work

It's just that probably not many people are ready and willing to kiss the Dev's feet in gratitude for fixing a very basic bug that they introduced in the first place and which has made our life even harder. But that doesn't have anything to do with your work as Correspondents
And the increased mission payouts are great news indeed - things may finally be looking up
