Thread: whats the big freakin deal about AFK's in cantinas?
my holo went silent, so im currently afkin up to master dancer, and will soon do the same for muscian.
doesnt hurt u at all. For those very, very, VERY, few who actually dont afk macro all day long....
have u seen the cantinas latly? how freakin packed with ppl holotaining away?
quit biitchin about afks, cuzz they are helping u get xp!

Yeah, I know he s only doing it be be a bad boy. But I must say how very sad this all AFK thing is making me.. I remember back when I started dancing and there was no AFK problem, how the regular dancers in the cantina actually spoke to eachother and you had a chance to get to know eachother. I so miss those times, I know I might sound sad, and I am!
I know that all the other professions also get flooded by hologrinders, and I see why people would want to take the easy way to get where they want to go. But no other profession/community have suffered this much and lost so much over it. It makes me very ill to even go into a cantina, I never dance there anymore only time I dance is when our wonderful band Astral Fantasia are doing preformances. And I still love dancing and entertaining, the way it was and should still be.

Welcome to the ironic way of finding the player worthy of playing the morally infailable hero of the light side by looking for the worst exploiter lured by the dark side of easy xp. This moronic idea was presented by SOE. Who else would be able to top Bug Wars Galaxies by a concept idea even worse than it's implementation.

It does. You might not know because despite having the xp you have never been given the chance to play an entertainer, but yes, it does.

Yes. And how does that influence my oppinion ? Do I have to like it because so many people do it ? Is mass murder somehow more acceptable than single murder ? Or is it ok if we lynch someone if we get enough people who agree ?

a) They don't, I hit my cap before a Holocron was an in game item
b) It's not about xp, it's about fun. You can give me a million xp and they'll be worthless without fun. If you like xp more than fun, I can give you a sheet of paper with 20 bazillion xp printed on it. You can have it for 12$ a month, complete with patches if you manage to ripto pieces or the unlikely case of spelling errors,compared to SOEs fun game for 15$ that's a real deal, don't you think ?
If you think unattended gameplay is a good thing, go and play single player games, there you have tons of unattended gameplay commonly called AI. Press IDKFA and have fun, but spare us with your presence in an online game, because online games are about people playing, not computer programs.
And a personal, free of charge, extra hint: lose that ghetto slang poor education internet babble mixture. Even a poorly educated ghetto kid could write a complete sentence in correct english. Trying to appear dumber than you are is making you look... well... dumb.

Yes I have seen the cantinas. They aren't terribly exciting places to go anymore BECAUSE they are packed with AFK people.
I personally don't need xp.. But they are not helping get xp. Musician/dancing xp maybe, but not healing xp, and healing is the harder to get. If anything, they are taking away healing xp when someone can't get into the group because the group leader is AFK, or there are two groups because one has an AFK leader, or simply because someone doesn't want to kick an AFK person to invite a live person.
i afk dance all day long in the cantina, and while my macro is runnin on that.
I press alt+tab and go play other games all day long
SOE put macros in for a reason, and u guys are pissed cuzz we use sumthing that is apart of this game..

who would like to site infront of a screen from about 6am to 4am everyday. Trying to grind out dancer, and musician xp. When u can use sumthing that SOE has put into the game to help u?
isnt it easier and more logical to runa macro run while ur at work/school/home then look at thesame 4 walls all day long?
its not an exploit its notcheating its using what SOE has incorperated into thegame as a means to help us.
..../whisper some of us actually like to be at our characters when we dance....and most of them are on these boards......some of us don't need to cram XP, and are quite content with making modest gains while actually at our characters.....some of us are just as mad at you for having to dance for your FSCS, because some of us would rather dance, and you'd probibly rather fight.

Clearly you are not the ideal player for the Entertainer profession. So, I support your AFK macros. I want you to get out of the profession and go pursue your dreams.
Do Jedis have to be patient when getting skills? If so, then your attitude toward Entertainment makes me chuckle if you become FS.
