Well this toon is not a fighter - a long time ago she used to be but today is a lowly Droid Engineer and Dancer and when I realized the patch was live - I started to make my way over to Moeina to go "on leave" I was in Theed Cantina - with a Stormy at every shuttleport and a bunch at the starport I died 3 times before getting myself to Moeina. Decay to my leotard and droide bandolier (cries) - my alt will fight in GCW but alas I cannot.

That sounds un-fun Getting trapped in a city and repeatedly killed will, I fear, happen more than just on patch day.

Well the Emperor is not *my friend* I've wondered how "brutal" the ST's would be. Sounds like it'll be exiciting/frustrating. I suspect I'll be keeping my armor more readily available and running to the aid of my fellow entertainers who don't happen to have combat skills. Now we have another purpose for the chat channel!

Seriously, I think it will add a bit more excitment to the game now. Yes, for the non-combat profs, it will be difficult at best, and possibly have a bit of a thrill to it. Having that Ent sneak about the city trying to avoid Stormtrooper patrols and using chat channels to tell friends where you saw them last. I must admit, it would be tough to be a reb on Tat with all the stormies there, and Naboo. But good luck.

hmmm...seeing as how I live just outside of Moenia, it looks like I should log on and go make my vk shine with ST blood....and then dance on their corpses, of course

Not everyone wants that kind of excitement, particularly not all the time. I haven't seen the patch yet and being nuetral won't be affected but I do know from past games how frustrating it can be and how trapped you feel when you have this kind of experience too often.

I felt really trapped lol - but I know what I need to do which is to have my armor with me lol I was running light last night just dancing with a friend in the cantina and I usually will even take myself home at night but last night I was just exhausted and thought oh well the cantina is a safe place to log. Live and learn right? Now for my alt that kicks booty - I am really looking forward to this

Heh, I ran into more trouble than anticipated today too. My main is Imperial. Tailor, Merchant, Mayor - no combat at all. So I reckoned I'd pop in to Bestine and go "on leave." I wasn't counting on Bestine having a lot of Jabba thugs running around. I have -5000 Jabba faction from my Pistoleer days long ago. But Jabba never forgets.

ThreeJabba Thugsjumped me and I ran straight for the Stormies. One was a Dark Trooper. They killed all the Thugs. One did that finger snap thing at the corpse. Ha! I saluted them. They saluted back.

I changed my mind about going on leave. I need to be in Bestine a lot and since I don't even own a gun anymore, staying Imperial Combatant seems safest for now.

Dunno yet what lengths I will need to go to if I need to travel in a Rebel controlled area. I will discover it soon enough I am sure.

But it was fun! Life just got a lot more interesting.

At this time, I expect that all of my factioned Non-Combat characters are going to quit the factions they are in. It apprears that it is not possible to gain faction in any manner while "On Leave" and my characters with no combat skills are NOT going to spend any time as Combatants.. They had been Covert for a REASON!

Excitement my arse. I do not find being load killed at shuttleports, the cloner, and the starports very exciting. Nor do I enjoy dancing in armor and waving a pistol around. The nonstop cantina checks are a load of crap. Why in the name of all thats holy do they need to check the cantina every 5 minutes or less? The spam was bad enough with the AFK lamers spamming spatial, now we have to deal with dorktroopers coming in every 5 minutes and spamming spatial. I was on leave, got scanned and almost killed while dancing. How stupid can this get? Are dancers really that big of a threat to the Empire that we need stormblunders ruining our gameplay?

The good thing is all the dead buffbots and AFK lamers on the ground. The bad thing is public cantinas will be abandoned by real entertainers and turned into deadzones and battlegrounds. The rebellion and empire may be losing some of its factionally aligned entertainers as well. I, for one, left the rebellion and gave up 2 months work on Alliance pilot. It's better to be neutral then to risk being scanned and killed every time I want to perform somewhere.
