Alright, so we asked why we were being charged 400,000 XP for the first real addition to our profession, when no one else has been charged XP for their additions. And the answer, I believe, that we received was that this was just the start of the new way of things, yes? Sure, I questioned the wisdom of starting that new policy off on entertainers, an already bloodied set of professions, but okay, so be it.
My question then is this. How much XP did tailors have to pay for the new clothing schematics we now see, under this new system?
If charging XP in great quantities is the new way for all of the professions to get their new stuff, I think this is a perfectly fair question to ask.

As happy as I am to see new clothes I wondered the same thing. I think the simple answer is zero since I saw far too many tailors making the new clothes in live last night. They certainly don't need a quest and I think I would be safe in saying they got all the schematics automajically when they logged in.
Of course their new content has also garnered them a huge surge in business.....

I just checked the Tailor boards, and all indications point to the new schematics having been immediately available upon login. Apparently armorsmiths got a new Ithorian armor, too.
It just gets worse and worse... <sigh>

Oh yay... once again we get the short end of the stick.
However, in all fairness to Armorsmiths, giving them the new Ithorian armor was needed and shouldn't be "charged" for since any new Ithorians starting up next weekend would be the ones suffering ifthey couldn'tget the armor. It's not really a "perk" for the AS's, it's a requirement. Tailors on the other hand........

What confuses me the most is, if they ever do implement exp taxes for new content for other classes how in the thunder would they do it?
Different classes have different exp caps, so exactly how fair would it be to classes with high exp cap oppose to those with very low exp cap?
Our exp tax for the dance is almost 45% of possible exp cap, if they tax a class with very low cap 45% also, then what’s the point.
For high exp cap classes 45% is a LOT of work oppose to 45% of low exp cap.
And even if they don’t go by % but only by some wind numbers the fact that exp caps are different for each class would still make it unfair.
Honestly I will be very surprised if they actually ever do implement it, but if they do then I can’t wait to see how exactly they will go about it.

I'm equating the "new" clothing with our "new" flos, though. We didn't pay exp to get those 4 new flos for lyrical...
It seemed like more of a fix to me. /shrug

No I believe the "answer" we got from that question was a "Get the hint we want you to quit."
I have a very hard time envisioning which profs would honestly get xp costs to new content. And how they would go about doing it in such a way that those far more populated profs won't revolt and cause a huge uproar. They picked us because comparitivly look at our uproar on it... ignored. Not even an uproar and our Corr gets told that she needs to clear her posts with someone before posting... Uhhh ok.... yeah we got the answer allright.

Sorry, just wanted to throw in that the Publish 11 Feedback Thread would be a good place to voice these concerns. I put mine in (and then some lol) so thought you guys might want to, as well.
Maybe will stop thinking I'm a crackpot and realize a lot of us are concerned about this.

Droid Engineers got all sorts of new things to support the space combat stuff as well. Didn't cost them anything. And, yes, they'll make plenty of money on it too.
Oh, and we didn't get new flourishes, we got changed ones. New would have been changing them in footloose2 but not footloose, in lyrical2 but not lyrical, rhythmic2 but not rhythmic, poplock2 but not poplock. That would be NEW content. All we got was CHANGED content.

They're going to make a killing with Astromechs. I should know, I am a DE.
I still don't understand why every other profession gets free new content. /boggle
They just login, and BAM - new stuff. How sweet would that be? Pretty sweet for the people getting hosed by the poor audience spawn and the 24 hour waiting/gating period ![]()

I think its an absolute joke to penalise a profession with a huge xp requirement for new content. New content that is apparently broken, according to some of the reports I've read. In addition to this new content, we also not only do we have a ridiculous 24hr waiting period if we experience a "Failure", but more often than not the npc audience gives little to no helpful hints (I've done the second performance twice, where I have questioned every audience npc in the theatre and all I get is useless comments such as "I'd like to be a BH when I grow up". I've bug reported and sent screen shots - has anyone else experienced this?).
But getting back on track - it is a fair question to ask. Afterall, did armorsmiths have to give over an xp requitrement for being able to make RIS? Did DE's have to fork over xp to gain their new modules for various kinds of droids? No, they didn't. I think it is appalling and incredibly unfair where we are gaming in a system that revolves around how precious capped xp is atm with the Jedi Force systems, where every crumpet of xp counts to filling in those boxes and unlocking a second cahracter/making a jedi (if one is so inclined). By having us spend banked xp (just like the jedi system) does this by any chance give us any other special benefits other than being able to do the "flying plane" routine when witnessed by other players who are watching our new dance? How about if we receivedsome kind of plus or bonus to our abilityfor mind enhancement - given the cost of skill tapes these days, perhaps the huge xp requirement wouldn't be such a bad trade-off afterall - but who knows, its just thought.
So yah, I've sent my bug reports and curtly sharp reponses to some of these things that really should have been done ages ago, and will continue to do so. So don't worry - if ye out there thinking you're a crackpot, then chalk one up for me cos I'm there too

Yah, absolutely - since when should a reward that people have successfully completed a quest for be held at ransom because of a ridiculously high xp trade in? I think what bothers me most obout this is the fact that this xp requirement (which I view as a penalty, not something that is along the lines of a reward) is the fact that they are being inconsistent with the application of new content across the board. If they were going to start implementing xp trade-ins for new content/materials/schematics, then fine - but at least be consistent by applying that new policy to all professions, not just one without even so much as an explanation as to why it seems that the entertainer professions have once again been singled out. Similarly (and this is a bit off topic) but IDs are usually the forgotten branch of the entertainer professions, and I have to say even though while I am not an ID myself, it is rather disappointing that the IDs have been left out of this quest. Surely they could have done something similar to receive some kind of special "stage make-up" designs as their reward, such as maybe being able to do face painting along the lines of putting a small butterfly on people's cheeks or even classic make-up templates like geisha make-up for a Mikado look or something :/
Anywho, back on track - yah, consistency (or in this case, the lack there of) is what annoys me.
