Thread: Mission lairs will no longer spawn babies...
- Pet Ability: Self-Sacrifice. Pets should now take damage with this ability active.
- Pet Ability: Imperiling Feint. Targets defense should now be reduced properly.
- Pet XP: All pets should now get the correct amount of Experience Points (XP).
- Babies will now give the correct amount of resources for their level when harvested.
- Mission lairs will no longer spawn babies.
- Increased the chances for wild lairs and herds to spawn a baby.
What are the chances that wild lairs will spawn babies???? This doesn't sound good....

Meh. As long as wilds and more importantly static spawns give babes I'm happy. ![]()

Anyone on TC see how this is being played out?
Mission lairs are named with the name of the creature that the mission listed. IE a kreetle lair. Wild spawns are named after the type of lair IE a rocky shelter. That is how you can tell the difference, unless I missed what you were talking about here....

I don't have a problem with that as long as they distiguish the difference between mission lairs and or static lairs so I don't camp on someones missions for a baby that will never spawn.

What's the rational for this? What purpose does it serve? Will it make being a CH more fun? Will wild spawns happen more often now? What? It's hardly in the catagory of game-breaking - I expect we probably find the majority of our pets sans missions anyway. But this can only make finding/taming pets that much more difficult. It can only add tedium to the game. I'm genuinely curiousas tohow this move will make the game better.
The issue with mission spawns on TC is due to the CL of the baby. Babies will always appear as the CL of the base critter that they are, instead of CL1.
For example, a humbaba (baby) will always spawn as a CL17 creature. Imagine a fresh toon that is taking missions, if babies spawned in this manner. The person has been gaining XP for a few hours and is been able to gain a couple of skills and is now considered Level 10. The person heads out on a humbaba mission that is CL19. They arrive at the mission lair to find that it has 2 babies spawned, along with 2 parents. The babies are CL17, while the parents are CL10.
As Vert pointed out, the TC environments won't tell us what will happen when this goes Live, because on occasion wild spawns won't spawn correctly. On TC-Bria, I am seeing babies pop left and right from wild spawns. I can hardly move 300 meters before I stop to /tame another baby. If the wild spawns stop spawning on Live until a reset, this will make taming much more difficult.

Not good, not good at all.
it was hard enough finding babies by takeing mission after mission till a baby spawned,, but searching the planet for a baby???
is this some way to make us dependent on rangers to find babies?
Well, the big difference here is that the baby spawn rates are way, way, way up. By the way, did I mention that they are way up?
We are seeing babies spawn that are typically considered to be 'rares'. The only issue is that these spawns are on a very low populated server right now. Whether or not the wild spawn rates keep popping when they hit Live, is yet to be seen, however what I have seen in the last 2 days on TC-Bria is a baby every 150 - 300meters.

They may be up for a reason on TC. That way CH can find babies more quickly so they can report any bugs they find. When it goes live expect the spawns to be close to what they are now or maybe a little higher.
