Silly forums! Anyway was just wondering if there is any news on pet aggressiveness. I was hunting a baby widow on Endor last night, and all of my top end tanking pets were randomly attacking everything they encountered (including widows, bolle's, grassland raiders and lantern birds.) It actualy made it impossible to do anything, since i was rescuing them from fights every minute or so (i was an unbuffed rifleman so this is pretty difficult).
MCH is currently unplayable for me, the pets are pretty useless as tanks at the moment, since you cant rely on them being by your side when you need them.
Oh and apology about the double post of nothing!

I wouldnt want them to remove aggression completely because i think it is a great feature, but at least make stay, follow or guard commands overide it.
Guard especially!

Publish 13 it went up a notch, and 14 a little more it seems.
My aggressive pet was going off a lot yesterday
But just being observant and quickly doing a follow they do respond and come back

The first time I noticed this I was on tat and it was really funny to see a rancor wander around killing nunas........That was untill my faction mission target noticed me and started shooting................

Even my baby gaping spider couldn't resist the opportunity to help himself to some quality gubber meat around the outskirts of Coronet. Kind of funny at the time, but I would hate to think what would happen if I was traversing Dathomir and he decided to just run off and leave me like a sitting duck. That's why I tank with my bantha. He's nice, docile, and he listens.

It's become annoying, and it really doesn't make any sense. Our pets are supposed to be tamed and trained. IRL if you had a pet that randomly attacked anything and everything, you'd have to keep it locked up - or worse. Game play has become tiresome and difficult. A fun RP part of being CH for me was running around with my pets following behind. Can't do that now because they're constantly attacking things when I don't want them to (except for my mount, I don't think I have any non-aggressive pets). (Edit: thought about it, I do have other non-aggro pets).
Vert, this is something, IMHO, that you can put at the top of our issue list.

I agree that it can be a pain sometimes. On the other hand, if you /examine all of your pets, you can see their aggressiveness rating, and in situations where you need to maintain complete control, you can choose to only use pets with 0 aggro. Gurrecks are a good example of a high end wild tame that won't aggro, and BE pets can also be docile. I have a CL50 Kimo with light armor and 54% kinetic resist with a 0 aggro rating, in fact.
I have mixed feelings on "workaround" commands. Maybe have follow stay like it is now, but have the formation commands get a percentage bonus to preventing your pets going postal, so that a MCH can keep even a GPS under control 100% of the time if they are in wedge or column formation.
Keeping follow the same as it is now would make it a less "stern" command... If you enjoy seeing your pet follow its natural instincts to go on a rampage, you could stick with it over the formations.

I just logged my MCH character on a night or two ago to train a friend and was really surprised at the changes. Luckily we were on naboo. I pulled out my swamp stalker to show him and he killed everything in a 60 meter radius while I kept trying to call him back. If it stays like this CH is going to be useless.

Mine come back too, but the instant they spot something else, off they go! This needs to be fixed!! I don't want to sit there watching my radar the whole time I have a pet out.

I'd rather see a compromise. Rather than the devs just say "oh f00k it" and put it back the way it was (thereby annoying those of us who like to see it... especially the lucky ones with a GPS), I'd rather the guard command over-ride all so that they will stick by your side no matter what.
As for the comments about these being tamed and trained creatures and we are Master Creature Handlers etc... These are not domesticated animals - they are wild creatures and wild creatures will do unpredictable things.
Yes, acknowledged - it's a game and we all pay and play to have fun - but don't ruin the fun of those who like this change.
Compromise is the key here. Guard should over-ride all.
