My aggressive pet was going off a lot yesterday
But just being observant and quickly doing a follow they do respond and come back
Mine come back too, but the instant they spot something else, off they go! This needs to be fixed!! I don't want to sit there watching my radar the whole time I have a pet out.
I set up a looping follow macro also named ForceFollow
/tellpet follow
/pause 2
/macro ForceFollow
I engage that when I am walking and having the aggressive pet wait. Just do a /dump before attack.
It does need to be fixed. The aggressiveness makes a challenge but the pet agressiveness is a bit too high considering it is tamed.

Yes it is cool and does make things more interesting, But it is also almost game breaking too.
Iwas running faction missions on tat the other night and there were many many many misc spawns, nunas, hermets, gnorts, Jabba swoopers (I have/had +5000 jabba faction). All this spawning proved too much for my murderous kitty, she was all over the place killing the poor hapless "yard trash" and even attacking Jabba swoopers! Which in turn started shooting at me...............
One thing I have found it right before or right after you take out your current target you should issue the follow me command or attack the next target....it seems to help keep them from wandering off in search of non life threatning prey.........

Ok, let me repeat...our pets are supposed to be tamed and TRAINED.It shouldn't matter how aggressive the pet is. I really shouldn'thavemade comparisonsto IRL beforesincethisis a game after all, buteven in context of a "real"SWG universe, ifyou had a pet thatyou couldn't tame/train/control, you would lock that pet up. Or get rid of it. Any CH should be able to have complete control of his/her pet. Evenif non-MCH, since a CH can only tamecreatures thatare equal to their ability (level) they should be up to the task of controlling that pet.

How about a toggle to turn this off and on?
my opinion: This isn't realistic because we /tame our pets, we shouldn't be forced to buy BE pets (there is enough of that already), and if you are like me and hunt unbuffed then try pulling out a rancor on Yavin... this makes the game unplayable (having to use /follow constantly and staring at the radar screen instead of enjoying the game)

I like the idea of Guard stopping them running off.
Half my pets (and all my BE pets) in my datapad ARE aggressive, so it does limit choices, and i've battled with them for 5-6 months now, so would hate to replace them with less docile critters.
I do like the change overall, but would like slightly more control over my pets (krayt hunting last night, and none of my pets capable of lasting a few rounds ever were available, but a lot of that has to do with the nice spawn rates on tat recently).

It is rediculous. I am a Master Creature "Handler" and I can't handle my own creatures. It doesn't matter if tamed from the wild or BE purchased they both go crazy. If this going to be the case it will totally eliminate us from SWG because you will have to use a Kaadu to go hunting so you know you can control the thing. Maybe we should find out the dev that came up with this idea and put a bounty out on him and let all of SWG BHs go after the guy (Lol).

I lost track of my Rancor earlier on Naboo, he went out of range so whent in the last direction I seen him in, about 300m later I see corpses, dead flewts, nunas, chubas etc so follow the trail of destruction and find him in the distance, stamping on some Gungans lol
Quite funny as I wasnt realy doing anthing at the time, but it is annoying when you are doing something and he goes mental

I agree with you guys, something should be done to give us more control though. There should be a diff between wild and tamed.
good call folks.

This isn't funny it is sad. If you were that out of control we would shot you and put you out of everyone elses misery. This animal should turn on you and kill you if he is this out of control. It should attack anyone you are grouped with as well as you.
This makes any aggresive animal you have next to useless. Especially if it is a fairly capable animal in the wild.

Jolandir, I said I found it funny at the time as I wasn't doing anything, meaning I was on my way home to log out, I'mnot saying the wholeAggressiveness is funny, it's not, the only time I get pets out now is to leave them at an outpost to go out and do missions, because there's no point in taking them with you as they are uncontrolable.
