"The combat upgrade was designed to "even the playing field" for all the professions. The creature handler before the CU was a very unbalanced, overpowered profession. There was a real need to adjust it so it could coexist in harmony with the other professions."

Wow, someone is out of touch with this game. I wonder if they've ever played it.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

I have no idea how they think we were overpowered. Maybe a year or so ago, fine. But after that, we were far from being overpowered. So, their idea of making us less overpowered was to up many creatures that we used to have, throw in more bugs than a person can shake a stick at, make previous BE pets useless. Makes perfect sense to me. I wonder how many of them actually played a CH, from novice scout to MCH a few months before CU side by side a stacked combat character. I would like to see how overpowered they were then.

Pretty interesting read. Most of what was said was that they have no plans on doing anything to what the interviewer asked.

This is your brain on drugs. Any questions?

Ok, seriously, Julio - or anybody else at Lucas or one of the devs. Explain this interview if you would. We were told we were"balanced" after the Great Nerf, but now we find out we were still an overpowered profession??? We weren't able to coexist in harmony with other professions??? WTH does that mean?

A buddy of mine was able to solo Bull Rancor lairs as a TKA/Swordsman - multiple Bull Rancors at the same time for crying out loud.Another buddy asa jedi would solo Screecher lairs for me trying to get a baby to spawn. He could take out a lair in a couple of minutes. I saw a master rifleman take out a level 128 blurgg with just a few shots. And we could all cite any number of such examples of over powered professions - other than CH that is. Yet, CH was the very unbalanced over powered profession!?

CHwasall but worthless in PvP, and though we did ok in PvE, we certainly couldn't take on multiple Bull Rancors at the same time. Overpowered - what a ridiculously absurd thing to claim.

Remember, this guy is a lucas executive, and im fairly certain SOE developers don't work with lucas developers since all SOE needed to do was purchase the rights to make the game and then they could take it from there, I don't think Lucas and SOE have once ever been confirmed to of cooperated on this game. (Lucas has certainly been rumored to of purposefully pushing out the first CU deadline, and also is rumored to of caused it to be pushed live 2 weeks earlier than said deadline, and also there is evidence they fired one of the head developers who, shortly before dissapearing, made the comment "We will take as long as needed to make the CU bug-free) This Lucas guy is probably far, far too out of touch to of read anything about the game other than very old notes from december 03, so either he purposefully used out of date info to do an awful job on the interview because he didn't care, or whoever was giving him information made a serious mistake and pulled up the oldest page in the database for this lucas guy to comment on.

It's no shock that at the management level, this team hasn't got the slightest idea what's going on down in the trenches. Every publish makes it a little more obvious, but it can't surprise anybody.
