Thread: creature handlers dont sell yourself short
i have charged a flat fee of 30k no specials. then 10 k for every special i add
Yes i would say thats too cheap, this is a creature handlers best way to make to some credits add another 0 to the price at least.
Just think what 10k can buy you - CDEF Pistol? warm hat?
I charge 100k for full training and 50k for mounting.
If i have to travel i charge 200k for full training and 100k for mounting.
And suprisingly im getting alot of business ![]()
I charge 20k for just training no mounting. If I have to combat for mounting your paying for abilities aswell. Some players have taken to getting a ch to just train it into mounting and then take it elsewhere to get specials. Here is my fee system and I think its a reasonable fee system.
20k for basic training nothing else. This simply makes sense it takes 2 minutes to do the training 10k per minute.
Abilities broken into two groups.
Player earned slots if they fought the pet and unlocked the slots then the price is only 20k per abilitiy. Once again it takes a 1 minute to do this and you make 20k for that minute.
Self earned slots 70k per slot. This is based on 2 BH missions being ran. Plus it pays a little for getting the abilities.
Inate ability is worth 100k, because of the added time.
Mounting is always free with me. This is the easiest time non eating thing to teach and so its an easy freebie.
So here is how I break the system down further.
If the player has a pet has it ability slot built then the charge is 100k. I generally ignore the inate here because the player took the time to get it and should be rewarded. They probabally paid for it from the ch they bought the pet from. 4 abilities times 20 and 20 for basic training and the mounting is free.
If I have to train the pet put it through its paces then the pet comes up to 300 to 400k. 70 times 4 ability slots 280k then an added 20k for basic training. If the pet has a inate then its 100k a 5 ability pet in the end is worth more then a 4 by 100k not every pet has 5 abilities this makes this a supperior or rare item.
When a player points out they are poor I promptly explain that they themselves can combat the pet up and save themselves some money by doing it themselves. They can either go buy a be pet or I will furnish one with basic training for 20k. I highly recommend other chs develope this system.
With this system I provide for both low level players and high end players. The high end get extra special service the lowendhave to work towards the end. Net result you have a fair system for all. I like the system its a round number and its a fair number.
100k for low level players 300k for fully built. 400k for tricked out. I make some decent credits for the time, and the player is not put in a bad spot for their level.
This is just for poor creature handlers though i guess, because non ch dont get any xp for using there pets in combat?
