Rofl I was browsing by the moment the whole uproar started to check and see how the AS were doing, and it was such an interesting uproar to watch develop I saw the entire thing .

The story appears to be thus:AS Corr gets fired without glowy powers for organizing a mass PM of several developers with AS issues, everyone sees the name go green with apparently no explanantion, 2 or 3 threads pop up with theories and general discontent, when Tiggs pops in to say hello and says that the correspondents job is to relay information only to TH or her, and not to developers. She doesn't make any comment about the PM thing, and no one as of yet knew about it, so the flames begin. 20 or so AS assume it means that the Corr was fired for trying to be an activist for the proffesion and relaying info directly to the devs since it seemed like Tiggs and TH wern't doing a thing, the flames rise in 4 or 5 threads, Then apparently the 1 star stalkers reveal they have a new lease in a pathetic life: Randomly mass reporting high tenisty threads. Of course, Soterios pops in when he sees all the Random mass reporting being done to the thread, immedietly locks it with no explanation, and soon after locks the inevitable 4 threads which pop up angry that the thread had been locked. He then deletes the thread with Tiggs comment, and thats when the real riot started. Soterios tried locking the first 4 or 5 threads for flaming with no more than a single solitary threat that "Going out in banninated flames can be arranged" or something. Well, that didn't last long, for every thread that was locked 3 more appeared in their place, general mass flaming all around, accusations of SOE and the devs of being communists and the like, and several ban-worthy comments about the political party of Germany during WW2. The mods quickly gave up on locking anything besides the German political structure related comments, Tiggs apparently went off to talk to the mods, and a few hours later after about 20 or so hate threads pop up, she posts about how apparently the mods were confused by all the random mass reporter stalkers, and deleted the thread accidentaly. That's about where they are now, there's still some general flaming and discontent popping up of course, but it seems to be dying down now. Tiggs also started a thread looking for a new Corr of course, which was generally met with "No one can apply as no one is capable of being a slave to the devs" type comments. So yea, that's pretty much it, was an interesting drama to watch unfold really. Shame some people had to result to awful comments about German political structures....

Rofl it's getting hilarious there now, there's much less flaming, and a whole lot more of making fun of the situation. I especially laugh at the comments of that guy with the confusing name pretending to be the new corr, and saying the devs just told him the prof is being renamed "Armoursmith". There's a whole bunch of comedy there being made now, It would be a shame if it got deleted .

Yup which is why even though I give him flak I still don't dislike Vert, nor blame him (not completely, but the whole specials "work flawlessly" is still beyond reasoning) it is his job. He is not even a direct line, just a bag man that tries to put everything we say on this board into an email to tiggs. And rules are rules, even if the rules are just a despots way of making sure they can do whatever they want without paying for it.

I've been keeping track of the AS stuff as I dabble in it when my GSP gets tired - and the discussion was heading in a positive direction with compromises and useful suggestions being put forward by the community. You never know, the devs mayhave actually taken some of it on board.

But the flames have well and truly engulfed any chance that the message will get through. The main argument was againstthe 'dumbing down' of the profession and the fact that armor crafters were complicated individuals that shouldn't be treated like kids.

Then some of those complicated individuals threw their toys out of the pram and had a tantrum - lol.

So I return to the more civilised environment of the CH forums and settle down in a chair puffing away on a pipe with a gurrcat at my feet - with little hope that the devs will come out from behind their riot shields.

There always has to be two sides to everything - Meuw just provides the other side most of the time. (no offense meuw, I think a good debate is healthy)
