No one istelling you to delete anything, however if you wantthe'new' best, then thechoice isyours.

And todebate your point aboutdeleting your best weapon.....

It happened during the CU, it happened prior to the CU, and it happened after launch. It has been happening through out the entire life cycle of this game, each time a new feature is added that improves upon / builds upon the old system. Each time that something has changed, we have had to make the choice to move forward and use the 'new' best, or stay behind and use what we have grown attached to.

This is an MMORPG. It is constantly evolving. It will always constantly evolved until the day that the plug is pulled on all servers. It is done this way, so that people have new content to enjoy and learn to understand. Anything and everything can and will change. Either we keep the attitude of not wanting to change, even as the environment changes around us, or we evolve with the environment.

Just because something has always been done one way, all the time, and something has survived because of it, doesn't always mean it will always be the best way to continue changing all the time. Surely there are some situations in MMORPG development where the ideato change and yet retain usefulness in certain things would be better than simply changing things and removing old things, a total strategy of all change and no retaining of old concepts can get real stale, real fast, and make a whole lot of people unhappy. How can it be a bad thing to retain some old things despite an atmosphere of change?

Nothing is wrong with change per se ... change performed without actually thinking through the consequences is wrong, and this team is guilty of repeating this mistake over, over, over, and over again.

All the customer is asking for here is a slightly more intelligent implementation ... isn't that why they say they're asking for feedback? Oh, no I don't take them seriously when they say they care about our opinion any more, but it's worth pointing out that they're still pretending, so kudos to those who keep telling them what's wrong with their proposals, even if they'll blunder right ahead regardless.

While I agree that not giving our old pets a chance to have specials isn't exactly fair, the only bad side of it is that this will waste time, unless there's absolutly nothing people can delete from their datapads. Personally, im deleting my female narglatches if they do prove to be too weak to be useful, mostly because I was never really attached to them anyway, then i'll just go and randomly tame things, take their abilities for myself, and then teach them all to old pets which I shall endeavor to train. All it requires is a CH to do a little more CHing...

but if the better abilities are on the rares and elites you are asking people to go find Bull rancors, GPS's (extinct until random spawns are fixed) and many others.

That is not even close to fair.

Some folks just want every goodie available handed to them on a shiny silver platter. Not much you can do about it.

Lots of things changed post CU. My old armor --- crap. My old pets --- crap, my old pistols --- mostly crap. My old skills --- crap. Stuff changes in this game constantly, thats the way it is with MMOs. Granted changes here are often more dramatic, not to mention buggier, but still its the way of the game. You have a choice, adapt, lose, or quit.

Your old pets will be perfectly usefull, and will be able to learn cool abbilities. Would you be happy if they got random abbilities and suddenly got stuck with some crappy one they could never unlearn? Wouldn't that essentaily ruin its potential? Think before you ask for something, you just might be unlucky enough to get it. I'd rather have pets with no abbilities so I can train them in exactly what I want them to have.

I understand the point you are trying to make....

The point that I am making is that it is your personal choice to stick with your old pets. Its just like why we have 250 skill points in this game. Your characters template is your choice. If you chose to do something one way, then you will always miss out on something else.

No one is forcing you to deleteor keep your pets. (This does not apply to the bugged BE clones, since they were generally created in a bug infested environment that was abused in all the wrong ways.) Only you can make that decision. However, if you want to get the new goodies, then you have to make a decision as to how you go about getting them.

But if the better abilities are on rare pets and you happen to have spent a lot in game time getting these rare pets...its lame you have to do it again

um i made my decision before my first post on tihs (ive 3 useless pets liek a lot of ch's) but that doesnt realyl change th efact that ther are ch's who have no usless pets and they sohuldnt be penalised by this, jsut because a problem doenst affect me directly doenst make it any les sof a probelm, it saddens me to see so amny ch's dont seme to care aobut problems other ch's will face far too anny of you dont seme to care who gets screwed as lnog as its not you, and that not how things shoudl be

Who said anything about rare pets having the better abilites? (Besides my wild guess listed above)

I know of at least 10 different abilities that have been mentioned so far, on /tcpa. All of which have been on your average, run of the mill, pets. Low CL babies appear to produce (L1) skills and high CL babies appear to produce (L2) skills.

Besides, rare pets aren't going to be as rare as they once were, since they will be spawning correctly again.

From what I am getting from the CH forums and TC, the pets you have now will be worthless pretty much as they will have no slots to learn any new tricks (maybe mount commands).

You will have to seek out babies of different animals that have the sloted commands automatically, if found then you learn that command and can slot it to creatures that you find and tame, mind you it will not be easy to get these commands as 1 out of every 7 baby of a certain type critter will have the command slotted that you can actually learn.

So delete all your critters and get your vasoline out because they just put ridges on that sand paper condom.
