Thread: spilling the beans on CH in beta (NDA lifted)

Up to CL80? whoa, nice (though it is indeed time to rethink our stables if this is the case ![]()
Sounds like it'll be limited to MCH who have mastered another combat class, though... good thing I was already planning a respec in that direction. Can you speak at all about the "undisclosed items or skills"? I just want to know if this is a force sensitive thing or something we can all take part in without the village grind. Maybe we finally get the 'taming whip' which had been discussed some time back (and item you wield which does no damage itself, preventing you from using other weapons but allowing you to control higher level critters).
What about CL80 and lower critters on other planets, like Kash or Dath?

Thanks for the info, and sorry for the flood of questions - I'm sure I'm just the first of many...

They are undisclosed
No one has figured it out yet. That's why I said items or skills, All I know is that there is something you can get that will increase your available taming level by 2 points at a time until you get to 80.

Ok they just lifted the NDA so I can talk!
CH is getting some love in the expansion-here are some highlights I will add more later-
-CHs will be able to tame up to level 80. requirements are Master CH, level 80 combat level, and undisclosed items or skills that you will get that will increase your taming by levels of 2 until you get to 80. All of the creatures on Mustafar 80 and below are reported to spawn babies. Babies 71 and above are supposed to be really rare.
-AI has been significantly changed. Pets and NPCs will now use specials in combat. NPCs will follow profession specific ability rulesets (TK, Jedi, Etc)
-In my testing pets are much stronger. My level 67 was able to solo level 65-69 with no help.
I will get more info as soon as I can.

Folks Please keep in mind that the NDA was only partially lifted and I'm pretty sure they said that communications between Devs and testers was still under NDA, mainly because of how things change so much. But the above post is where alot of the official info we've gotten is from! Lol,We need to Keep SpaceRancor happy as he has personally responded to the thread the above post came from about 6 times and he seems genuinely concerned about making this whole CL80 taming thing work well. I will not be posting anything said by a dev in beta forums unless they say it's ok. The announcement that the NDA being lifted was kinda confusing, and as best I can tell, it's still kinda like " Fight club " lol They said we could talk about it, but can't spoil the surprises. I KNOW alot more about the ability to tame over CL70, but I do not wish to start a long debate before anything is finalized. Stay tuned ![]()
