I PVE a lot (since pets are no good in PVP) and was wondering what formats others are using?

My skill set is:

Pistoleer: 2444 - Going for Master

CH: 2134 - Going for Master

Medic: 1130 - Going for 4440 (Need to heal the pets quickly all the time)

With this current setup, I have been able to take on about8 12K ham (RED to me) guys at once and come out alive (Fanshot is great).

What other formats are CH'ers using?

Medic 2144 (I think? I know the last 2 trees are 4-4 - might be 1244)

Strongest template I believe is this

Master Rifle

MCH

Obligatory scout and marksman skills

with medic

4-x-4-0

This was my template until I started the rare hunt, which resulted in me dropping medic entirely for master scout and ranger 0-0-3-0.

This is decent for me as I make most of my money pimping meat.

The first template is much stronger in combat however. I truly wish we could master combat medic and CH...that seems fun to me

Although I recently traded it in for Doctor, I was a MCH and Master Carbineer and 3440 medic. That was a lot of fun for PVE, and the professions balanced each other nicely.I pulled great paying missions, had plenty of healing power for mypets (and myself too, lol), and could often take out the nastiest of creatures with little or no help. I'm going for Master Doc now so I pull crap missions, and I miss my gurreck!

I was working on Master Carbineer, Master Creature Handler, and 0440 Medic with the appropriate Marksman/Scout skills

I recently changed it to Master Creature Handler, Master Sword,4004 TKM with respected scout and brawler skills.

I just decided to master CH so my build is in flux. I'm curently Master Smuggler Pistoler 0,1,4,3 CH 1,2,1,3, but i want to end up with Master Smuggler/Master CH. novice medic for heals and novice pistoler. ( though i'm going to miss fan shot) I hope it works cause i love both Smuggler and CH. and if i get intop real trouble theres always FD.

Anyone try a MCH, MBH template...with medic in what ever is left...I am curious how it would work for PVE?

You can't do that. After Master CH and Master BH, there's only 4 skill points left. You need at least 15 SP to pick up Novice Medic. The thing about Master BH though is you will be a jack of all trades with weapons and you will be able to change your damage type a little more smoothly than you can by simply staying with a specialized proffession like Carbineer or Pistoleer, plus you get the LLC.

So far it's absolutely insane Haven't finished MBH yet, but the combo of pet + LLC cone 1 basically can kill anything I find en mass. Sometimes I feel bad getting a single creature paired up with my pet and opening up with eyeshot, bleed, bleed, LLC single 2. At that point death is just a matter of hitting a another LLC single 2 on the same pool or letting the bleeds + pet finish it.

Basically anything under 20k HAM is trivial and I can kill 10-12k HAM things in as large a group as I can pack into the cone. Once I finish MBH (darn carbine xp) I'm gonna try Kimo's

Not sure why you say pets are no good in PvE?? My pets are awesome. I usually hunt with a TMB and GSP. I hit the CL70 limit with those 2 and I've do nice damage, have pretty good special attacks and really havn't gotten into much trouble with them.

I'm a TKM / MCH and I like this template. I spent the rest of my points on medic (0/0/4/0) and marksman (pistols) so I could use high level stims and have a ranged attack to pull creatures.

This template is very good but it does have some drawbacks....mainly that I have to get up close and personal to do damage. The benefits are that TKM gives me the meditation line. At the 4th box of this, I can cure bleeding, disease, poisons and wounds (even mind wounds). The only thing I can't cure is battlefatigue. This is incredibly handy when fighting bull rancors which have done over 900 mind wounds to me before I could get my meditation started....thank the force for dancer buffs or I would have been incapped.

TK also gives 2 very handy skills, powerboost and force of will. PB gives me a free buff to HAM, primaries only and it's short lived....like 10-15 mins. However, it doesn't cost anything and can be reapplied immediately after it wears off.

FOW will allow me to pop up, if incapped. This has saved a DB many times. I just use FOW, hit the stim pack and continue fighting. This can only be used once an hour but it's incrediblly handy and if I can hit the button fast enough saves me from a DB.

I've been seriously thinking about MRifleman cuz they get AP3 and do mega damage. The bad thing is I would have to drop my TK meditation and I would be succeptable to melee attacks....so I'm not sure I wanna trade these skills.

Good luck. I hope this helps ya decide.

I'm Master CH, Pistoleer 0043, Bounty Hunter 0040, Novice Medic, (master marksman, scout 4040)

Its a fun combat template. Far better than master pistoleer for pure pistol strength due to much better accuracy and speed with a wider range of specials. Pluss you get to play with rifles and carbines if you like. Speed for pistols is capped. You can probably go Pistoleer 0042 and still cap it but there isn't much else to buy with the 3 points. The techniques line in pistoleer could be exchanged with the LLC line in BH or the carbine line, or the investigation line, depending on what you want to do.
