If you are up in space you should see it on the hyperspace map. That is the only way to get there.

No terminals will work to get you to kashyyyk.

Go up in ship then use hyperspace to jump to it. It is the planet to the upper left from talus with no shipping line to it You can get back to other planets drectly but it seems you have to be in space to jump TO it. when you get there if you check the starport you will find it has a JTL console and no public tranzit console.

Be warned when you arrive you will find a beautiful planet that u can only follow very limited paths thru. It is going to play havoc with mining even if they ever allow us to build harvesters there. Expect resources to be very expensive cause we have to hand sample them which is really boring. Though is exactly like EQ2 and WoW.

Infact the map of the world looks like EQ2 maps and going into the content "zones" is like EQ2 instances. Now I wonder why that might be. In the dead forrest zone you will find more cursed paths but unlike the outer world these paths will look like you could cross to the other path but you are forced to follow against an invisable barrier.

I better stop now. Getting annoyed. You can probably tell I am not happy with this new planet. I have EQ2 I dont play it cause its boring. I dont need a second copy.

If you're like me and you never had JTL before this expansion you're going to wonder how in the heck to get the hyperspace map up. Press H. I was looking at the regular map and waypoints and finding nothing. I spent an hour running around in circles before I found the answer on a forum post.

I'm with you Indene, don't like the EQ2 tranisiton we seem to be going through. I hope the new stuff isn't all quest access, and quest content. The spirit of the game was originally player content, and I liked to be able to go off in a direction and hunt whatever I felt like. If I wanted a special pet I could go and hunt for days or whatever but did not have to complete a quest to get it as an award... that's a little silly to me.

How is that silly? That is what made galaxies so darn fun in the first place, That is a TRUE RPG. You can acutally decide what you want to do, what you want to hunt for, That made the people who where poor, poor and the people who where rich, rich. I was happy I spent 7 months looking for my Great plains stalker, Even though it was the most fusterating thing I ever did, I also gave me some of my best memorys in the game, gave my character his own unique story, made many friends and also I got one of the best rewards I have even gotten, and everytime I take out Edge (my GPS) I get a little smile, even if its not showing. I am proud of my GPS. I didn't have to take a quest or follow a path or anything to get him, I hunted searched and spent my own time and money into finding him. The same goes for my other creatures too. It isnt silly, It was awsome, better then the game will ever be anymore.

I am against having everything tamable now and extincts back. I liked it better the old way. I dont have enough room and Nuthing is rewarding to get anymore. So what I have in my DP stays in my DP except for the extra 2 spots I made, (my other langlatch I couldnt use with my other anymore and my screaming kai tok) oh well.

I guess I didn't type that out right but the arguement I was trying to make was the one you just made. I am unhappy with quested pets, and all the tameables. I preferred the days of hunting and hunting to get a chance at a rare, and spending days out in the country prowling around the last know sighting of X. More of that is why I bought ROTW a new planet to hunt with new creatures to tame, but now I complete a quest and know I'll geta pet in the end (the quest = pet is what I think is silly).

My advice do not get it. Its just not worth it. The only thing that redeems is the free jtl and thus free travel thats about it.

For one the planet is very claustrophobic. You are literally forced into tight paths. I have actually been in dungeons on the other planets that are less claustrophobic then this planet. Everything will aggro and annoy the hell out of you. Not a carebear mind you I feal traveling should involve some peril, but on kash its redundant and ridiculous getting jumped by crystal snakes every thirty seconds, and do not kid yourself you have to kill them or they will give you a death of a thousand cuts. This is where the claustrophobia gets worse. You end up running into invisible walls, and getting shoved down tight corridors which only makes your troubles double, and to add insult to injury all spawns are on a super timer. Once you kill something it immediately respawns.

Loot is worthless since everything drops it. Makes what was once enjoyable now a total drag. Oh look the same pistol I looted 30 times already. All in all you get jam cramped into a tight and unpleasent place. Its less a planet and more like a big themepark. One you will tire of in quick order. Infact if like me you find you cannot even stomach the thing you will be dealt a crippleing blow in punative cybernetic implants when you die. Meaning you now have to waste time getting rid of them.

What a bunch of whiners!

ROTW is great! Tond of quests to do. Loads of rewards! New NPC's and instanced areas. Parts are soloable and parts require a group. The quests are nicely done and can take you all over the galaxy, very engaging. I am having a blast with it!

Sure it's different but we aren't playing the original SWG anymore now are we? It's changing just like real life always changes, get used to it kiddies.

Ya got 2 choices:

1) go with the flow and enjoy yourself

2) fighta gainst change an be constantly frustrated, annoyed, and angry

Easy choice for this old codger but I know some of you younglings are still learning so I'll make allowances for that. Just stop whining though please. LOL

Well I had to get a new AIM name since the old one is blocked (AOL deemed it nessicary to make me renew my AOL account to use my old SN which aint gonna happen) my new one is exactly the same as the old one with an extra0 (zero) at the end.

So send me an IM and ill give ya my SN on GW
