Thread: Has anyone heard about a fix on the aggressiveness problem?

I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything about fixing the 'fix' that has made our aggressive pets unplayable. I've seen a lot of posts about the problem, but haven't seen anything from anyone on correcting the problem. I understand that a few people like the change and would agree that a (very) little unreliability in some pets adds spice/flavor to the experience, but as it currently sits, it is truely unplayable.

Just asking in case I had missed the post where someone had given hope.

Thanks all.

nope, no hope, but it is as it was back in the day. Maybe they could hook us up a little with some food or something to make them calmer.

That would be cool.

I like that idea a lot. It is amusing when my pets go nuts on the bunnies and gubburs, but looking up after I've caught aggro to discover my pet is 115m away is no fun.

The only downside I see with this idea is that I have a hard time finding any vendors that make the current pet foods we have.

It is not in the least amusing when you are out on Dantooine and your pet decides to attack a Voritor and agro it. If I can't control it, what use is the pet to me? None. If they don't fix this, CH will not be a viable place to keep all those points. I've had MCH since I started this character and hate the thought of dropping it, but when their nerf gets me killed, it is time to rethink things.

Keep this is mind.......20 CH's complain about the aggressive creature change hurting their gameplay.........2000 other players think it is the best thing ever to see creatures attacking each other on Dathomir...........do the math

No word on a fix at the moment, but I did make sure this was prominently brought to the Devs' attention the other week.

I thought the aggressivness should be limited to certain creatures. Right now it seems everything is in total aggro mode all the time. The GPSused to be somewhatunique in that regard; but now, if it was a red dot before, it's all over the place. I kind of like it because it does give a greater sense of being a creature handler (actually have to manage their wild animal instincts), but it could use some tweaking when you can't even control your pets for 10 seconds.

Yeah I think the concern here is not the aggressiveness of the creatures, but the fact that they are acting identical to feral creatures after they have been tamed. So basically it is as if we are not taming creatures, just earning the right to own one.

I like the fact that it is happening to wild creatures, it makes perfect sense. I can remember going to Dath and seeing Rancors just sitting by the lair and not that far away would be a herd of Brackasets. Why would the Rancs just sit there? It made little sense to me. It seems more 'natural' to me now when I go out, and I see carnivores attacking other carnivores or herbavores.

I do NOT think it should extend to tamed animals however.

It is cool to see wild creatures behaving, ya know, WILD, but last night as I was involved in a base raid, I told my pets to follow me as we retreated, and right after I issued the command they zoomed right back to the enemy base into the arms of about 10 or so imperials just to get to the piket which had spawned on the other side. That wasa good 90 meter agro range. Luckily no one payed much attention so once I got safe I just pulled them back again 3 minutes later after the combat timer ticked down and they killed the piket, but it really should of been much worse :/.

Wow this sucks, I've got a lot of useless pets. I've been MCH since before the big nerf, and in my opinion this will kill CH as a combat profession if it isn't fixed.

I didn't realize this had even been happening with pets. I have always used the cats of the "skin" variety Swamp Stalkers, Swamp Tusk Cats, and Plains Tusk Cats. Ihaven'tnotice any difference in their aggressiveness level. They have always gone after anything that moved as soon as I pulled them from the datapad. I would just tell them to Stay as soon as they came out and then to Guard me and then toFollow--this always kept them on target for me.

I have always liked this agressiveness and definitely wouldn't want my cats, which is over half my datapad, to suddenly become docile after having them aggressive for nearly the past year.

However, I can definitely see how frustrating it would be to have pets you want to be docile like ranged and mounts suddenly attacking everthing without you telling it too.

If they adjust this I just hope they are sure to set it back the way it was and not drop the aggressiveness of pets that were so before this occured.

It is not the least bit fun. As someone above said, these are tamed, not wild creatures. I typically go out unbuffed with mine and collect milk and eggs and other such stuff. As I was collecting, my wimpy lil' perleks, who I like to keep out cause their cute, ran off and attacked a Sharnaff. Three males and that female decimated them and then turned on me. If I was out in the wild and my rifle suddenly decided to take on a Krayt Ancient, I'd be pretty peeved. The aggro should be removed for pets. Not all of us want our pets eating everything in a 50m radius and if we wanted them to, we'd tell them to!
