Actually, I still see a good amount of them. But they're definitely not as prevalent as when they had uber beasts.

I'd also wager that many Master Creature Handlers don't choose to display that as their profession, simply because of how many pet & pet training requests they get. Personally, I'm always happy to help people out, and I rarely charge them anything - but if I was trying to get a quest done or something, I'd almost certainly display my Bounty Hunter title instead.

I can't look left without seeing two of them recently, (Wanderhome server)I'm actually thinking of dropping it simply because we're far too numerous! That's why I dropped Image Designer, I can't stand such a class being so common... And also, I don't think I'm patent enough to keep waiting for my pets to grow up before I can do anything with them (and lets not even get started on my difficulty with names!)

I just don't think the class is for me, even though I'm ALWASE the summoner no matter what I'm playing. In SWG you'd think carbineers would be the dime a dozen class, not the hairstylists and beast masters...

Well for me im a master creature handler as well a master bio-engineer and those who know me even not having my title listed know im a ch. I keep my title listed in my bio so folks can see my current status if i don't use the normal way . Since being on this temp i get to have alot of fun . Because i can make any pet i like and if it turns out to what i like for the stats , I will train the pet and play around near a starport . I also enjoy the creature resize on pets .

He has a good reason. People are anoying... train my pet, mount my pet, how about GO AWAY. I am usually full, and full of rares. I refuse to give my pet to someone to hold or even delte a pet to train someones level 10 cupa with 60 kinetic.. or used to have anyway. So i don't display it anymore. Plus when I have it displayed.. no matter how much I love it, I feel weak. I like to walk around and people to examine me and say wow that guy has made it, he must be strong, so and and so forth. But have MCH above your name.. people that arnt or werent CH don't know the rares, they think its another razor cat. They dont care eather, everyone knows CH is weak. So displaying it makes people say, wow what a loser he must be weak, just a lousy CH. You know what I am saying. Running aournd with my bull rancor I will maybe get 1 comment, well I only have gotten one, a retired CH from the old old days said wow I havn't seen a tamed one of those since the old days. Thats it. No one cares cause ALL PEOPLE CARE ABOUT ANYMORE IN THIS GAME IS GRINDING JEDI AND BEING UBER. It is a proven fact. I used to rare loot hunt on my spare time, and hunt at places by myself or with a friend or 2. Not anymore, can't hunt ANYWHERE without a group and you are destin to die too. The good times for the game are done for me. It doesnt feel like galaxies anymore. My achievments, and trophies, rare pets, loot, weapons, armor, ALL my good things.... don't matter anymore. Whats the point of caring and being a CH anymore. It doesnt have any effect on the game. You arnt special. That is why no one wants to be one and thats why it is shameful to be one no mater how proud of yourself you are. With ALL I accomplished.. it makes no difference. Find the wormed vorbal.. tame all the rares, tame a langlatch maruader, helped countless people, fought and never gave up.... there is no reason to continue and there is no reason to try being one anymore anyway. You wont get anything accomplished as one. But if you like to dootle around and just fight with creatures, you can play this with all its bugs and crap, or you can play WOW. think about it.

sry guys, I am just so fed up I wanna play so bad, but I hate signing on anymore, I am always bored now. And all my friends are gone.

It depends on where you are you will see a few chs on the beginner worlds mostly because people have not clued into the sickening weaknesses in the prof at the moment. Those who have steer clear.

The cost/reward ratio is no longer as favorable as it once was, so the minmaxed flavor of the monthers have moved on to other templates. Additionally, many of the bugs and design shortcomings that the profession suffers from have been left untouched, and sadly unacknowledged in many cases, which has further discouraged and driven away those who would otherwise play the profession for the sake of being a creature handler/tamer itself.

It's the classic MMORPG nerf hammer syndrome. Minmaxers/powergamers find a design flaw (the low cost/high benefit/high synergy of the base skill prerequisites and lame nothing-but-meatshield pets, and total lack of an aggro system in the early days), exploit it in droves, and the development team, short handed, overworked, and usually looking for the easy way out, do what they can, but the end result is halfarsed, and the profession is left hobbled and suffering as a result.

I have my MCH displayed, mainly because I love it, despite all it's flaws.

I don't mind helping other up and coming CH's and I'm generally a happy bunny, planet hopping to see what I can tame. My main bug bear are players who have no manners and don't even say please or thanks.. grrrr.

Yep I have MAJOR issues about lack of storage and nothing ruddy working properly (why do the devs not help us?) , but I'd rather have a "different" profession than just be another Jedi-wannabe/ BH/ etc etc. Maybe its because I'm not interested in PvP that I like it so much. I can just get my pets and go play The profession is bugged, but so are others, but then again, I'm easily pleased. LMAO!

Archie, one weird thing i've noticed over the past few days, in about a week or so I haven't gotten a single "Train my pet" tell at all.....I think all the other new MCH are getting the tells, normally I got them because I was the only CH for 3 miles, and now you can see a CH hanging around coronet alot of the time :/.

different server? All the germans on gorath...none are CH and if they are a noob who isnt german doesnt ask a german. Plus I was refering to pre-cu mainly now I am not on enough to get tells and if I do I say I am full sry. Pre-CU yes Only CH in miles and people would be a pain, especially with thier level 10 super Creatures. I refused to train them for anyone but my friends.

Sometimes I thought it was a pain too until I got to that one person who gives me a 50K tip for my troubles . I actually never came across any of the uber l33t 60 kinetic 6K HAM super ultra CL 10 pets, I saw a few that were close, but strangely thinking back I never had to train anything for anyone quite at that level :/. Come to think of it, back then we only had maybe one or 2 BE who actively made pets, and neither of them had much in the CL 10 department....

Then again, people tell me sunrunner isa ghost town compared to other servers, but I don't get around other servers much.
