Thread: Why arent there so many creature handlers around anymore....
I keep the MCH title up (since MBE is much worse for tells!).
What I have noticed over the last week is that I've got a lot more tells from people asking how to train the profession, where they can find certain pets, why can't they tame vicious pets, etc. (as well as theusual newbies asking if I want to buy a CL 10 bantha.......)
What I think has happened is that we have had quite an injection of new players over the last few weeks with "The Total Experience" being released (noticed it at number 8 in the UK charts in HMV, but it could have been misfiled!)
Some people like me Only have his good old buddies with him left, my rares, and pets that I have had for eons. I refuse to get rid of them, Took me 7 months on my stalker, 8 on the boar, my bull, my frenzied grual peko, squill, kinad level 1 BE pet, I refuse to getrid of them for the stupid narg trio or the GSH or anything. So I am in a situiation where my pets suck. /shrug I know how to be a CH, I'm pretty sure I have been one long enough, Hell, pre-CU I knew where you can find almost any creature in the game, thier levels and such... I was a CH nerd, but now I don't care anymore.
All I can say is, I hate to see them get incapped, and be targets for npcs, especially now since they can't take the beatings they used to. They don't serve the purpose for me anymore that they used to.
When I was a swordsman (i loved swordsman) I was happy, I could PVE well on my own, loot hunt, pvp, be a tough guy and kick a$$. I loved melee professions, and I am serious..... I chose to keep CH cause I loved to fight along side my pets, to run into battle along side my GPS, Edge would take on one Tusken and I would work on the other, uh oh I get overwhelmed, I call edge to come in to take the one that is attacking me while I finish off the one I am battling to run in and heal him and help him out take down the other 3 that we were fighting. Then he would run back to me after he claimed his kill and we would continue on through whereever. I didn't have to wait for him to hold agro, He attacked what I wanted him to, he dropped everything He was doing to listen to me, untill the agro fix... pfft... but what I am saying is, is now I had to drop swordsman cause the new system didn't alow us to work togetehr the way we used to. I can't hunt solo and I can't fight on my own anymore. Pistoleer isnt for me but It helps me battle with my pets, and still gives me that "next to my pets and in the battle kinda feeling" But its not swordsman.
I feel my pets arnt themselves anymore. Its a completly different game if you look at the way it is now.. seriously look deep... so many new players, new combat, new system, new moves, new new new new.... Even if the old wasn't good it still, no matter what, is better then the new. With all the fixes they put through it wont fix the game for CH cause CH is what it has to be now, a leveling sytem support profession with generic pets and no strategy. ....... any one have anything to add?
