Thread: Anyone else dislike using BE'ed pets?

Since I'm one of the old-fashioned veteran master CH's... I really like to have my pets be exclusively wild. For some reason when I use bio-engineered pets, I feel like they're just... some avatar in my datapad, and have no realism. Does anyone else strongly prefer their wild pets over 'bio-engies'?

I have been a Master CH longer than Master BE (August 2003 and November 2003 respectively). Iknew from the day in beta 3 thatmy friend Vor first sent a baby cu pa over to befriend me that I wanted petsto play an important part ofwho my character would be.I am sentimentally attached to my very first wild pets: a cu pa named Tonto, a mountain dewback named Lizzie and a wasteland cu pa named Buttons.

My most favorite memories include when we had the one frustrating bug where the pet would stop fighting in battle and come running back to you and my pet cu pa kept saying "Tonto Hungry! Tonto Play!" and I was yelling "Getyour orange butt back over there and save my butt!" At the time it wasn't really that funny, but it brings a smile to my face now how things have improved over time. I also remember seeing my first giant canyon krayt in game while I was travelling around with my loyal companions, Lizzie and Buttons. We of course ran away from that terror quickly because I would never want to put my little pets in unnecessary danger. These pets are special and I would never consider deleting them despite their not really being super powerful pets.

My BE'd pets hold just as close a place to my heart in that I know that Ipersonally collected the DNA for each of the ones I have made. I remember my very first upper level pet, a level 62 kima named Athena that I still have, protecting me from nightsisters on Dathomir. I laid dead on the ground as her superior resists allowed her to keep on plugging away while I cloned and zoomed back to heal her up. I saw her stand over them as she gave that reallyeerie little "meow" that she does after she kills something.

My most faithful pet is a level 68 BE'd gurreck I madenamed Hadrian who is rarely absent from my side. I am well known in myusual hunting party for standingalmost right next to him (as I do when any of my pets are out and protecting me)tokeep him healed with master medic skills so that he is never placed in serious danger... sometimes healing him before my party members.

I still enjoy hunting withmy mantigrue screecher, king merek harvester, arachne webmaster, frenzied grauland my other wild pets as well as my BE ones. I guess to me, pets are pets and I form a bond with them in game as my little hunting buddies despite their wild or BE'd origin.

Stupid be pets!, looks in data pad at pets, OMG! all of you guys are be pets, O come on, I really didn't mean that little crack about "stupid be pets". What do you mean I'm banned from using the data pad for a week, you know I was only kidding, I think you guys are better, really I do. Come on now, put the "stupid be pets on strike" sign down, we'll talk.....
........... ................ .......... CAUTION ....................................
This post has cost me 22 bofa treats, please be careful when talking about be pets as to not have the data pad open as they will ease drop on conversations and may be a bit touchy on some subjects .........................

It's not that I dislike using them, there's nothing wrong with BE pets. It's just that I like taming my pets. What's the point of me going out and taming pets if I can just buy them? Buying pets just isn't as much fun for me.

I have this little lvl 49 Kima named Killer. He is such a sweetie, He sits an mews and licks his little paws. Then he reaches up and rips somethings face off. He is just the cutest little thing how could I not love him?

I like BE pets right now, because regular pets can't tank for me very long. and being only able to tame lvl 15 isn't much hlep

BE pets for me are okay... and I'll get them if I'm using them to grind and don't care about their vit. I just have a major pet peeve about how uneven their HAM bars are.

Like a non-CH cupa with

6000 H

4000 A

1000 M

For some reason, I just like having the evenHAM bars

I dont mind BE pets or the people who use 'em
I have a problem with the lv 1 "UBER" BE pets that are better then anything that we can tame in the wild
I personnaly dont use BE pets just because i like to go and tame them in the wild, searching for a babie is half the fun imo
