Ko-alri, please can we have a sticky for Elite Pets. This would show the following:

Name

Level

Damage

Health

Armour

Attack

Defense

Resists (When they fix them)

Specials (When they fix them)

Planet

Best Place to Find

I think may people would find this very useful. Especially when they fix the static spawns

Does no-one else want to see this?

I would have thought that this would have been quite popular.

I'd like to see a list. Are many at all of them actually tamable, due to static non-lair spawns failing to regen these days?

I must be slow. What Elite Pets?

Haven't been around much lately either, so I could have missed it.

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.

"Elite" is the name for MOBs that have a little notifier on their con symbol that looks like a thin dark arrow pointing up. Generally, elites are equivalent to an average mob of the same combat level, except that they have significantly more health.

There are a lot of examples; Nightsisters, Krayts, Kimogilas, some high-end GCW troops, etc. On the CH-related side of things, there are a few creature-type mobs that are elites, and are flagged as tamable. The big-name one for a while now has been the CL22 Female Narglatch. These have been considered valuable post-CU due to the fact that a set of 3 of them can be called at once at MCH, and they have much more health than an equivalent CL22 mob.

I can't give exact details, because I have so far refused to tame any -- not that I consider it cheating, or taking advantage of a bug, but I figured that knowing the history of CH this would be around for about 2 weeks before SOE whipped out the nerf bat and pounded them into oblivion.

There are other elite creature mobs that are listed as tamable. I have personally seen with my own eyes a bluurg raptor, CL50 elite, that said tamable: YES upon examination. Great Plains Stalkers, and some other fairly rare pets from pre-CU days have evidently also been converted to elites for those who worked hard enough to get one. Most of these that I have heard about, however, have traditionally come from random non-lair spawns. This creates a problem since post-CU, those don't respawn as they did pre-CU, and they are either exceptionally unlikely to or just plain cannot spawn a baby on the first pop, making those pets effectively extinct barring some patching.

I've heard reports about various other lair-spawned creatures that people are saying are both tamable and elite, but I've been a bit sceptical as there seems to be some confusion about "elite"; some folks don't realize that is now the accepted dev-used term for those mobs with the specific indicator on their con icon, and seem to think that any high-CL, tamable creature is a "tamable elite".

This is why it'd be nice to have an official list, both of things that are simultaneously "elite" in the new icon sense and tamable, and the subset thereof that spawns from lairs, which means that it is truly possibly to obtain a baby.

And hopefully, the devs will correct the respawn problem so that those de-facto extinct ones will make a comeback.

Swamp Stalker - 29 -Naboo (south west swamps near keren and north east of moenia)

Plains Hunter - 29 - Naboo (out in the plains around theed)

Female Narglatch - 22 -Naboo (same location as swamp stalker and I think you can get missions)

Wild Dune Boar - 48 - Tatooine (aroundand west of Krayt Graveyard)

Malignant Squill - 48 -tatooine (around north of bestine to mos entha)

the swamp stalkers and the plains hunter have the same stats so do the Great plaijns stalker boar and squill. I don't know them now I am not on and I don't own the narglatches, no room.

Not sure if the darn Wormed Vrobal is elite, I still am looking for one but rori IS BUGGED! Otherwise I think thats it. Anyone know if the grual marauder is, or the blurrg raptor?

I've seen the blurg raptor tagged as elite, but from my recollection, he had fewer hp than the narglatch. Kind of lopsided seeing how he was over level 53. (55 or so) Perhaps he can really lay down the damage.

Thanks, but this will only float it for me. I'm talking about a sticky which would be there for everyone to see and feedback on, not just myself.

Thanks to everyone too for their feedback.

ArchiieBarret, do you know the damage and health of those creatures?

Many thanks
