Creature Handler Archive

According to the manual, creature handler pets are supposed to suffer permadeath.

They don't know, though.

I meant "they don't now" instead of "they don't know". Heh.

Actually pets can get killed by mobs its just not as common. They can not be deathblown by PC because thats like being able to go up to a bounty hunter and perminately bust his 40k rifle.

Nerf is a bad word to use. Most of the creature handlers admit their needs to be adjustments so that you don't have novices with a rancor or just as bad, somone with only 18 skill points spent with 2 rancors out and 2 other pets in their pocket.

I think incapped pets should take some time to heal....1 hour...not sure about that. I'd say pets should heal as a certian rate while stored....maybe a multiple of what they would if they where out. The insta heal even with the 1 minute combat class timer is stupid IMHO. This way a pet with 10K would take a bit longer to heal when stored then lower level pets.

I don't know about other people but my 750-900hp pets I heal with stim packs ....its faster then storing them.

Well, its hard because if you play against NPCs a nerf would kind of suck. But seriously, i am a CH. We NEED TO BE NERFED! Its crazy seeing someone who worked hard for 4 days destroy near master Bounty hunters, And I am friggin tired of seeing rancors more common than Stormtroopers (Is this Star Wars?) CH is by far the Most unbalanced in need of a MAJOR nerf proffesion in any MMORPG. Sorry guys that is just the truth , Powergamers have ruined it for all you guys that just wanted to play a little Tomigotchi.

I am curious how many of you people calling for nerfs played in beta with other master elite professions?

you idiots are basing your info on things you dont know and wont know till you have to fight a master TK or carbinier,rifflman.or what ever.

When you see a pistoleer with a fwg5 that hits for 30-160 and only goes up to body shot 3 and one hits you . are you gonna cry for a nerf then too

I was in beta and saw all the elite masters they are insanly powerfull and can destroy anyone in one shot. 3 pets meens nothing when you get incapped in one head shot.

Do you know it all people also know that if you kill the CH the pets stop fighting, why even try to fight the rancors , you must e stupid.

Now if the master CH see you first and gets the rancors on you yea your gonna get incapped . but anyone here please argue that any other master elit profession gets the advantage on you , you think you will beat em?.

devs are not running for patches to nerf CH becouse they are to over powered is becouse they know all this that i just stated and know that if they beat back the master CH power now they will have to drop back all elite fighters or raise the bar for CH later just to make you happy.

I do however think we are broke and i feel the devs will implement a fix for the exploiting of transfer of powerfull pets to noobs just so they can exploit.

Only change i can REALLY REALLY see that needs to be changed is novices walking around with rancors. There are so many rancors walking around its sickening. People that say CHers are too strong in PvP, well, if you were SMART, you would attack the tamer, not the pets. And of people that say "Well if its 3 pets vs 1 (insert profession here), how can i kill the tamer?" Well, anyone who goes 1v1 against a CH is stupid and deserves to die. Now enough with the stupid sugguestions, and make some REASONABLE ones.

CH'ers should have a limit to what creature they can use at what level. All the melee have a set point at which they are skilled enough to use thier weapons.

Maybe if you are way under leveled skill wise for a Rancor there is a chance it will turn around and attack its owner.

Wish this game had MAssiff.

geeze.. who cares about people walking around with rancors? seriously.. there are much better pets out there.. I say if someone wants to take the time to tame a rancor, sell it to a novice, and that novice is dumbfounded and never realizes there are much better creatures out there.. let it happen.. I'm not losing any sleep over ch's lower than me with a rancor..

As for a nerf.. forget about it.. I've seen some pretty bad azz elites out there who do more damage than me in one shot than i do in 3. This will make the pvp real fun hide the ch is the game If you got a CH with some really strong pets, the goal will be to keep him alive and not let the enemy know who he is!

OK..what the heck..listen..its funny..i was in tatoonie Bestine in Cantina. i just hit Novice Creature Handler and i got a Razor And a Peko Peko. so i went in to heal and then out of no where these 3 Tanks ) i guess you can say marksman brawler etc.) started nerfing me and telling me to put my pets away. OK! I WORKED MY ASS OFF to get up to Novice Creature Handling.and i did ALL that to hear that **edit**!!.i couldn t take it..i DULED 2 of em..and guess what??? i CREAMED em both..WHAT do people mean we are WEAK?? I got Novice Pistoneer..Novice CH and Novice medic ( making my way up in medic) i mean we are the same..how are we WEAK?? we get SAME skills as a marksman..my HP is 1100 Action 1100..and im a Human. its like im a Tank with an extra Hand ( soon to be 3) SO WHY do all these pathetic stupid morons be hating on us...0o0o Sorry for BEING TOO GOOD and POWERFUL! you should TRY IT some time. heh morons.

get Medic skill or even Doc and heal your pet, i cant put my Brawler friend into the Datapad and call him again with full HAM, i have to heal him too

Azhrael said CH need to be adjusted, he didn't say the other (imbalanced) professions dont have to be adjusted. I agree with you that some combat skills ( especially Knockdown) need to be taken care of too.
