This:

Pets
  • Added "Incapacitation Recovery" option for pets. This will allow a Master to revive an incapacitated pet to 1 HAM point.

  • I'm wondering if this is the vit loss thing because if master CHs could recover an incapped pet without vit loss, then thats great. Not terrribly useful, but its a step.

I don't know. I asked about it within minutes of the patch notes going up... will let you know if I hear anything. I'll be getting lots of my pets killed on Test Centerwhen it goes up, too, and will let you know if I observe any changes.

Wish I could help with this. Had to drop MCH to take up BH for the holo grind. However, since I can't do anything until P10 I'll be going back to MCH asap and hopefully have some stuff to back up Vert with before too long. Luckily I go on vacation for 11 days tomorrow so it should be easy to get back on top.

If we have the option for incapacitation recovery, thus basically eliminating vitality loss, why not just remove vitality loss from the game?

  • Whats the point of this? c'mon devs, you can do better than this! We can already incap recovery a pet by applying stimpacks or pet stims unless theres a benefit here such as... no vit loss when incapped. :lightbulb:!

Hey, is this the vit loss thing you told vert to tell us??? Could you please clarify TH......

This is for the pet's master...

    and I replied basically 'huh?'

Not sure what benefit there is supposed to be for the pets master....

Maybe that means that our pets will be able to revive US from incap???

I haven't gotten on tonight, so i haven't read the patch notes. But it would be kind of nice to have a pet revive me from incap, if it kills something and i'm still down.

That doesn't make sense. yea a droid with medical capability would do that, but a graul would just thump on my body, a Gurrek would probably try to lick my face (ok, heres a little idea a licking wake up from incap ability, lol) and a merek would probably just stand there...

it's probably like /tenddamage for medics.
I am assumeing that they think we are gonna be happy getting a ability to heal our pet without a stim (oh yeah 1 ham is really gonna last long). either that or we are gonna have to do that then hit them with a stim.

if it is in place of VIt loss I think I like it, If it is in addition to. all I can say is
    BLEH!

Maybe, but what he says is WE revive the PET to 1 HAM. Maybe he meant the reverse as you suggest, which would make sense with his reply. Be he didn't come out and say that, so who knows?

Ok lets take a long look at how SOE treats us CH's. Do we ever get what we ask for? That would be a big fat NO. More than likely this won't be a vit loss safeguard for us. It prob gonna be some lame new option thats asks if we want to let the pet autostore or not when incaped. I hope its the vit loss thing but I have to be realistic. I hope I'm wrong tho.

I think its an ability for CH's (Masters?) to be able to bring pets back to life without vitality loss in case of a DB. Only thing is that you have to get to the pet before he wakes up by himself (wich can be a problem in some situations).

    Maybe?
