Thread: Vert, is this new 'incap recovery' thing for pub9 the vit loss thing TH told you to tell us?
I'm really, really trying to remain positive here. A long time ago I decided I would no longer post anything negative (mostly I've succeeded :smileytongue
. But to quote Trando, huh? Because this "incap recovery" thing is sounding like a bunch of hooey to me. If it's just bringing the pet back from being incapacitated, big whoopee. I don't even need to use stims for that, because that pet is going back into my datapad anyway. And what's the point of restoring it to 1 HAM??? All I'm going to do with that pet is, again, store it.
If it does prevent vitality loss, that's a small thing but it issomething. Though the only way my pet gets killed is if I'm in a situation where I can't call it off and run away. Which means I've been killed/incapped and won't be able to revive my pet before it revives on its own. *sigh*
From the best I can figure from the description, Vert, it sounds like something that can't be done after a DB; it sounds like if your pet is incapped, and you are out of stims, you can "wake it up" before putting it manually in your datapad itself, instead of waiting for it to fade into there on its own and take the vit loss from a non-recovered incap. If this still happens . . . I haven't let a pet "die" in months.
Still sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. I'll take the vit loss on occasion if my pets would get off my ass and stay in the game when they're supposed to. And now they're ignoring commands and slowing down again.

Pretty new command...
That should shut up the whynie CH's about how we give them no love, who cares that it is as useless as formations

Only "special" people can figure out how to use it
Did your lesser plains bol store to the datapad with no vit loss on its own? Maybe it's not an option, like they say, but it'll just do that on its own now? Then you can recall it as soon as your combat timer clocks out, and it will come back to 1 HAM for healing. I don't know. Still sounds foolish.

Then Cryptic is gonna get soooo busted. Maybe they get around that by having their publisher located in Texas? ^^

I waited a few minutes, hoping maybe a radial option would appear. I stored it manually from the Datapad after that. Pets have always woken up on their own, though. Not sure why that would be considered something new in this build, if you're correct.
Not always . . . I've had pets store to the datapad after an incap (and yes, I know it was an incap, it was fighting non-DB critters) after I think its 5 minutes and they lose vitality. My guess, because it didn't happen all the time, is that it was based on how much damage "extra" they took during that last hit, if it was enough for them to recover from, or if they just stayed down until you could heal them. It was always much weaker pets than what I was fighting, like a day old kaadu against a humbaba or something like that, when I was training for Master.
