P9M. Let's not allow the CH's boards to turn into a **edit** fest because someone makes a posts asking basic profession questions. I think it's easier to just answer the questions and direct them to the FAQ at the same time...

I am sorry Aakh. I just see the same posts day in and day out. Got frustrated. I haven't just asked a question without doing a minimum amount of research. I have seen the what's the best pet for a newb too often lately.

Hate to say it but I agree with P9M and so would Delta the scout correspendant.

Anytime someone asks a question on the scout forum that is answered in the FAQ's or stickies he puts a single post up

It's kind of like calling customer service cause you don't know how to use your computer because you are too lazy to read the documantation that came with it.

So anyone with what you feel is a stupid question must read through 50+ pages of stickies, just to save you the hassle of scrolling past another question?

I think you have to remember these boards are for everyone, newbies to people who have been playing since day one. They have as much right to post the 'best pet for a newbie' question as you have to post some in depth question about the fundamental techniques of DNA sampling.

First: Sorry, I don't think you understood my comment. I never said you made such posts, but that you have the right to if you want to.

Second: You're not very clear. Read you posts or read you previous posts.

You seem to have taken umbrage at even the idea of you posting something basic, that wasn't my intent. But I think you should keep in mind that these boards are for anyone who wants to post on them. This includes newbies. I suspect sometimes the 'basic' questions are the best way for new members to join any community. If they have to refrain from posting basic questions and reading FAQs it could be a long while before they have something the 'elders'of any community will find interesting. It takes someone a lot less time to answer a question, if they want to, then to dig through all the FAQ and stickies. Nobody is forced to read these questions the same way that no one is forced to answer. It's also possible that some of the details in FAQs, stickies and guides are out of date. I'm sure I've seen a mount that wasn't in the guide as mountable. Finally, maybe they would like to have there say in 'what'sthe best pet for a newbie', or somebody else has some new thoughts so an old thread might not be the best place.

So yes, some days your a newb, other days your the windshield and on yet other days you're just a barrier.

I agree many people wont even try and help themselves by searching first.

truth be told as a noob i never posted questions and stil dont today, best way to learn is to do it lol

either do or do not there is no try lol

ive helped many new people ingame and dont mind spending the time there to help in the forums though important threads are buried for the same 3 questions evry week

whats the best template

whats the best pet for novice

whats the fastest way to grind

sorry it does get old and does do damage by buring very important thread to the back pages

Maybe you do not understand. Given the current affairs of CH, seeing someone post a template question every other day is annoying. Especially when one takes into account the best template for CH is to not be CH. CH is dead in the water.

I think I'm glad I don't share your understanding. Why is it annoying you? I can understand what Jopeneck is saying about important threads being buried. I even understand that it's best to find out in game, I've taken quite a bit of time in game to help newbies. However, I don't understand why people can't post questions just because it offends the posters who have been here longer. It'd be more welcoming to post an answer pointing them in the 'right' direction. Or even just ignoring it.
