and second why not a gurrcat becuase in the game there are some people that train gurrcats to be mounted that would look cool lol

Who knows why they haven't done it. I think having bols mountedwas a stupid idea, a cat of some kind would of looked alot better

(NOT defending the devs, but...)
Since dewbacks are mountable - other dewback-like shaped creatures (like bol)can be mountable - since they would use the same graphic 'entity' for their saddles.
Same reason kaadu & spat (same body type, same graphic).
Same reason brackaset and falumpaset and humbaba (same body type, same graphic).
A cat mount would require new graphic 'entity' for their saddle, plus most of the cats are a bit small.
Here's what I'd like to see...
Two high-end CAT creatures set to be mountable - example: Great Plains Stalker (Corelia), Mire Maurader (Talus - yes, make it tamable, too) - since there is NO large cat frame for BEs - Gurreck is too small.
I would LOVE to see a Wookiee on a big CAT mount...riding into battle atop his pet...having it rake and claw through the enemy, while he does simple attacks from bowcaster or unarmed!!!! TOTALLY the Hunts-master!

My Greater Sludge Pather is alot bigger than me, but of course I'm a small rodian. But a cat mount would be nice, something that can rival the speed of bikes.

I agree, there SHOULD be a cat type mount in the game. Why? beacuse most cat types can run faster than a landspeeder and even keep up with a speeder bike. Having a cat mount in game would set a major balance between bikes and mounts, whereas currently only broke newbies use mounts.

the best mount would be either a flyer (bird of some kind) like a peko peko or ancietn reptilian flier. something that flies.. or a rancor.. but i think only master CH should be able to mount a rancor or a bird.. that way there arent people just doing novice so they can ride one..

Yeah, I just mentioned the desire for flier (but not true atmospheric flight) and cat type mounts again the other day. Obviously we have bigger ongoingissues on ourplate, but it's always a good idea tohave this stuff on the table early (so the Devs can plan with it in mind).

Didn't they nix the flying mounts at fan fest? I thought I read somewhere they said maybe in a few years or something.

I think there was some confusion at FanFest about whether the questioner from the audience was referring to True Atmospheric Flight (which would be a big technological challenge). The flying mounts that folks have asked for here on the forums would not be "flying mounts" so much as "hugging the terrain like a speederbike" mounts.

why would tru atmospheric flight be a challange? they have it in City of Heroes... they are doing an atmospheric flight in SWG....yeah it wouldnt be something that happened in a patch but on an expension theres no reason why not.. its nothing out of this world tough to do.. i think if they hovered at the same lvl of a speeder bike it would be pretty damn stupid.... at least raise them by like 10 ft... it would be dumb to see peko pekos flying at ground lvl everywhere. but thats just my opinion

City of heroes has a true 3rd dimension, whereas SWG does not. That's why you can't shoot or step over a ankle-high wall, why running off a cliff doesn't hurt, etc in SWG. That's also why it took so darn long before they gave home owners the ability to hang stuff on walls, or put anything off of the ground without the use of stairs.
True atmospheric flight would be great, but I'm guessing would be well beyond the limitations of the current SWG engine.

When the game first started back before you needed to be a certian level to tame stronger pets, My first tamed pet was a grand wrixthat I still have to this day. Would be awsome to slap a saddle on and ride him being as he doesnt get to see as much time out of the datapad anymore.

I still wonder to this day....
Why are brackasets, falumpasets, and humbabas mountable when bagerasets are not? Same skeletal structure and design, why is it so hard to slap a saddle on them?
Same goes for bolmas compared to bols....why are they not mountable?
Why do surefoot brackasets NOT spawn babies? Or seething bol crushers?Or cannibal dewbacks? What is the point of having high-levelversions of mountable creatures if we can't tame them to mount!
Mounts I'd love to see (in no particular order):
1. Rancors
2. Giant peko pekos (would have to be brought back, of course)
3. Gaping spiders
4. Rontos
5. Larger felines (razor cats, sludge panthers, gurrecks, etc)
Can you imagine if cats were mountable....riding around on a great plains stalker would be awesome....assuming I even see one in the wild someday to try and get a baby...
