How about a big Nargalatch? Or Bobsleds pulled by a Nargalatch team? That would bea sweat Ride, and Mantigrue Screecherswould be the Ideal flying ride.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

I think there was some confusion at FanFest about whether the questioner from the audience was referring to True Atmospheric Flight (which would be a big technological challenge). The flying mounts that folks have asked for here on the forums would not be "flying mounts" so much as "hugging the terrain like a speederbike" mounts.

Vert is right. If you ever look at any flying animal, Light birds, Giant Pekoo Pekoos etc, they all fly, true, but you never see them go higher than what they are hovering at, which is no higher if not just a tag higher, than when you are sitting on a Bantha. So really, you would just have something with the speed just faster than a Landspeeder but not taking damage as much. I use my mounts as much as possible for this reason. About to go get me a dewie so I can mount it and take it out on missions with me sense I can use 2 pets at the moment. saves wear and tear on my swoop for when I really need it. but a flying pet would be a lot better.

I have one problem with the GSP, that large thing down its back. Is that a mane, or a skeletal bone? Either way that would be uncomfortable to ride.

A GrandWrix is my choice of mountable pet. Nice and large.

I agree, there SHOULD be a cat type mount in the game. Why? beacuse most cat types can run faster than a landspeeder and even keep up with a speeder bike. Having a cat mount in game would set a major balance between bikes and mounts, whereas currently only broke newbies use mounts.

Sorry, i'm just trolling around the CH boards looking for info on what types of creatures a non CH can get as mounts, and i read this post.

Just for some info, I am not a broke noob, but i actually prefer animal mounts over vehicles for a few reasons.

1. If they get hurt, i can just use a regular Stim B on it to heal it.

2. I can forage for food for it, instead of having to go to a garage anytime it needs a tune-up

3. I am a TK master, and I can attack creatures while riding my Dewback or Spat (currently looking for more level 10 or lower mounts so i have a wider selection)

4. It just plain looks cooler riding up to a battle on a Dewback or a Spat instead of a swoop, even if Zanzabar and Prancer are slower than my swoop.

5. I get TONS of compliments about my pets, as well as TONS of offers to buy them (though i'm not selling them)

6. It's a good way to be different than everyone else

7. They are a lot cheaper to buy. (my Dewback cost 1k credits, and my Spat cost 2k)

8. It's fun to have my Spat do a backflip while i'm riding him

So I say keep up the good work of taming creatures. Even if most people ride vehicles, there are some of us non-newbs who really enjoy riding animal mounts instead of bikes.

(on a side note, where is a good spot to find a listing of all Level 10 and lower creatures that can be used as mounts? i want to get a whole troop of them so i can pick an animal that goes well with the planet i'm on, because a Dewback looks silly running along the Swamps of Rori, or the fields of Naboo.)

A BE can make any mountable pet a level 10, I have made brakasets and everything.

I still wonder to this day....

Why are brackasets, falumpasets, and humbabas mountable when bagerasets are not? Same skeletal structure and design, why is it so hard to slap a saddle on them?

Same goes for bolmas compared to bols....why are they not mountable?

Why do surefoot brackasets NOT spawn babies? Or seething bol crushers?Or cannibal dewbacks? What is the point of having high-levelversions of mountable creatures if we can't tame them to mount!

Can you imagine if cats were mountable....riding around on a great plains stalker would be awesome....assuming I even see one in the wild someday to try and get a baby...

I'm guessing larger models of the basic Dew frame are not mountable because they would have to make a new saddle model, and I'm sure that's a whole lot of work for them. (being facetious of course) I'm sure if they tagged things like Craggy Bolmas as mountable, they would have giant saddles too as the saddle scaled up with the size of the model. Though I really really want to ride my Giant Mawgax.

Cannibal Dews used to spawn babies back before I was high enough level to tame them, so did Narglatch Matriarchs. Man I really regret not levelling fast enough to grab them before the babies were all murdered off by the devs.

I have a Crimson Razor Cat, which I'm fairly sure is about the same size as a Great Plains Stalker, if not just a little smaller if I remember correctly (which I probably don't, I've been out of the game for about 3 months). My Grand Wrix is about the size of a horse, so he'd be very cool to ride, especially since he runs so damn fast Greater Sludge Panthers are kind of like the Clydesdales of the cat family in SWG, though that big ridge on their back would be kind of uncomfortable, you'd have to ride near their hips.
