So there I was in my town of Estellarum helping the crafters clear lairs to place harvester. I get a tell from Damun saying "Traci you still looking for a Bull Rancor" I reply of course, Naediil, DoMakk and I have only killed about a hundred lairs looking for one. Damun, a fellow guild mate and MCH to boot then says "Well get over here I am stand right next to a baby.
I break off 4k out from keren, shuttle to coronet and then to dath... I head out and the lair this baby is at is surrounded by other rancors and NS and everything mean and nasty... As I arrive the rancor lair right next to it argos me and thus pissed the baby bull off. Damun and I proceed to run are arses off getting argoed by everything around.. as the smoke clears with the all the argos the baby bull returned alone to his lair... I move in for the tame... failed and the baby bull argos me.. I can not burst run as I am surrounded by mean red everywhere, so I run circles for 5 mins until the baby finally gives up.. The second tame sticks I am I got me a bull rancor baby... Man it great to be a CH...
Still working on getting a Widow

Maybe the reason he has less than 60 posts is because he is always out looking for rare pets, or playing the game

Ok here is the pic of me and my new baby, I better start posting a lot more. I did not know that the post count of one = ones truth value.
Thanks everyone it was a great feeling and many of my guild mates came to coronet to see it. They all made me feel real good as they cheered for it.

Reading the creature list in the new official 'Jump to Lightspeed' game guide with updated SWG information there are percentages in brackets next to the word tameable.
The percentage for a Bull Rancor is0.1%.
The same book gives a percentage of 25% for a Rancor.
Does anyone know if these numbers refer to the chance of taming or the chance of finding a baby?

I have to believe that the number would refer to the chance that a given spawn of the creature would be a baby, otherwise that would mean that when encountering a Bull Rancor (baby) your odds fo taming it would be 1 in 1000. I know of very few CH's that have encountered a BR and not tamed it within 10 or so tries.
