Since Publish 10 it appears they have ended all spawns of mobs on Talus without missions (except the little newbie mobs near the cities). I don't know for absolute certain this is the case but I do know I flew around Talus for about 3 hours and didn't see more than 2 lairs on the entire planet and they were songbird lairs.
Does anyone know if SOE nerfed the GSP spawns on Talus or if they just aren't spawning because nobody ever visits that planet any more or what? I really want to get a GSP. I know they suck now but I had 3 in the old days and they were my favorite pets so now I'm getting MCH again I want to get another for just because I like them.
Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to get them to start spawning again? Or is that something that can only be controlled by the devs?

Greetings,
I would check the swamp SE of Dearic. It can be easily seen from the planet map or look at Mire Marauder spawn points listed on SWGCreatures.com for wps. GSP's have always spawned there quite regularly. If they cannot be found there within a couple of days, then I would agree their spwn rate has been affected.

Finding 7 Sludge panthers as become Part of the Quest for Padawan. I usually an find hundreds a day if I wanted to.. but helping a friend find them for the Quest I didn't see a SINGLE Sludge panther of ANY kind.
This is alarming...

Greetings,
Of this I was not aware. Might it be possible that any of the creatures Jedi must pursue for their trials also become so much rarer for the rest of us?
I wouldn't necessarily call it a nerf in the traditional sense, but it does seem that this is yet another result of poor decision making.

It appears so. I used to go to Talus and find all kinds of them along with tons of Grand Wrix's and a lot of other mobs. Yesterday I didn't so much as see a single mob of any kind except those songbirds. I got a couple Torton missions just to see if missions were even spawning and the mission did spawn but those were the only creatures anywhere around. I have pretty much completely covered the entire planet and there just isn't anything spawning.
It concerned me so much I even submitted a ticket about it but I know the CSR's will just tell me it is normal and there is nothing they can do about it. But I wanted to bring it to their attention anyway.
I'm on Radiant. I would be curious to find out if this is happening on other servers and also to find out if anyone has even so much as seen a wild GSP or Grand Wrix on Talus (and even better tamed one) since the Pub 10 patch.

I'll have to take a look... you mean nothing at all is spawning there now?I don't think the lost city of Durbin has GSPs... just regular sludge panthers, right? Either way, all of the cats there are static. And at this point, it's probably safe to conclude that static mobs aren't spawning babies.
Nothing is spawning there other than the little newbie mobs that are right next to town and the extremely rare songbird lair. Once you get out of the newbie mobs there isn't anything spawning.
In the past GSP's did spawn in the lost city but it was even completely void of mobs yesterday. I flew all around the lost city, through the middle of it and not a single dot on my radar anywhere.

Hi Vert,
The only reason I remember GSP's spawn in Durbin is that one chased me for 3K towards Dearic last week.
However, I was not thinking of Durbin in terms of babies, but as an easy forPadawans to fulfill their trials. IfSludge Pantherswere made to spawn less frequently for that reason as a whole, I suspected Durbin would be so as well.

Come to think of it, this was right after (within 2-3 hours) of the resets yesterday.
