I tested this out tonight using my narglatch with 510-520 damage. Against an unarmored opponentwithout toughness modsshe was hitting in the high 400s and against a armored TKM she was hitting for around 30. Against the same TKM without armor she was hitting for roughly 100 damage with toughness mods. I also tested this out against a jedi and the results we abysmal. My blurg got hit for 14k damage, thats right ........14,538 damage to be exact, apparently Jedi get a HUGEdamage bonus to mobs with under 25k HAM.

Throughout all this testing I didnt lose a single vitality point to any pet I used even when my blurg got hit for 14k damage.

Ok so pets are still hella weak in PvP but at least they are a semiviable choice now.

Just a word of caution, this is what happened to me in after the 11.4 patch, not tried in 11.5.

In a big reb group with jedi, no real risk to myself but my pets were incapped a few times just healed them back up with no vitality loss.

With myself and pets and just one other player going overt for a bit of fun, two of my pets were incapped before I was incapped/deathblowed, the other pet incapped after I went down. I clone and check datapad and the two pets that were incapped before me lost vital, the other did not. For what it's worth I bugged what happened, I recommend not using anything other than throw away pets in pvp still.

I found the same with player jedi damage on pets, an area attack was doing less than 100 on players and over 7k on pets.

Any more confirmations of this? Did they change pets to not suffer PvP reduction? Or vitality loss?

i had always thought the pet had to be DB'ed to get the vitality loss...if it is incapped without a Db..the vitality stays the same..i could be wrong but i thought that was how it went

As I understood it pets have the same rules for death as we do. 3xincaps in 10 min. = 1 DB, or a DB can be delivered. I also thought that only DB cause vitality loss, at least from what I have seen.

I don't think players can DB a pet, its what i heard anyway, occasionaly one of my pets will take a vit hit in pvp but only to hotshot i r more ubar than thou stacker templates with vibro knucklers (legendary), so they definently don't lose vitality very often now.

And one other note, awhile ago i fought a jedi with pets, he was not buffed and my pets cut through him like a knife through butter if it says anything about no PVP damage mitigation heh.

Players are given a radial option to DB, like against PC's.
