Creature Handler Archive

I'm a bit confused. At Creature Management IV, there is the ability to transfer pets. I assumed that you couldn't give your pets, or sell them, until you had this skill. But with the number of people I see selling pets, I wonder if this is true? I've heard people say that you can trade them before that point. How is this done? And is this a bug/exploit? What's the point of getting CM IV (other than getting to Master) if you don't need the transfer ability?

There is currently a bug that allows you to trade creatures like you do other data pad items. As of right now its not nessary to get managment 4 but.. this is a bug and useing it is explioting it.

Yes, you can trade pets from your datapad, but right now if you trade them to a Non-CH they can't do anything with them at least. It's funny though, you can't trade a crafting schematic at all....

Have the devs said anything about how pet trading should work or how it will in the future? I have the transfer command and IMO it needs to be removed. It is an insecure transfer open to all the problems that go with insecure trading. Trading via the datapad and secure trade window makes more sense to me. Perhaps only allow someone with management 4 to drag a pet into the trade window.

I have not tried this in awhile but you used to be able to trade pets without using the transfer command. Is this the case or can pets still be traded liek an item?

Friday the devs changed it so that no one could xfer pets without Management IV, however on Sunday they rolled that back and modified the game so that anyone could xfer CL15 and below creatures without management IV. Also, anyone can tame low level creatures now.

Recent change in last patch.

You now need the pet to have been trained in the Transfer command. If they are not trained, you cannot trade from the datapad.

I had to change my training curve from my 2/2/1/2 levels and now I am 3/2/1/4. The only way to be able to transfer a pet you tame is to be level 4 in Creature management so you can train your pet in the 'transfer' command.

FYI: Also, note the change to the training radial, there is 'store' this replaced the 'release' command. Now if you use the command they go into the datapad only. To release a pet now, just select destroy.

Ah, my bad, did not try to transfer without training. Just figured it was safer to be trained fully in Creature Management 4, just in case anything changes again.

Quick question.......Do you need the transfer command to be able to trade pets through the trade window. I know people that can do it without have lvl4 transfer command. I tried to trade a pet to a friend to a friend who had given me a pet just the day before and was unable to. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the trade window for any non agro pet up to CL 15. Higher pets and agro pets you need the Transfer command. There is a bug where the pet won't show in the trade window but it's still there.

That would explain it. He traded me a cl15 pet i was tryin to give him a cl25 pet to train for me

is it possible to trade a pet that hasnt had the transfer command taught to it? I am trying to sell a bull ronto but i dont have transfer and i want to know if it is possible to trade it to a master CH or something, have them train it, and then trade it.
