I have the exact same question. Have been fiddling with ch and starting to get some skill. I have some of the commands but not all.. I have a friend who could teach group and trick and I use to be able to trade with him. Tried it last night and it said we couldn't.

My apologies if this is posted elsewhere but I can't get search working for some reason.

Thanks

Mark

is it possible to trade a pet that hasnt had the transfer command taught to it? I am trying to sell a bull ronto but i dont have transfer and i want to know if it is possible to trade it to a master CH or something, have them train it, and then trade it.

No. Sorry, but if the creature is CL 15 or above, it can't be traded unless it knows the transfer command then it can be traded via command or via secure trade window.

Let me rephrase...if the creature is above CL 15 it has to know the transfer command to be traded via command or secure trade window. Creatures CL 15 and below can be traded without the transfer command using the secure trade window.

I tried selling one of my GSP's babies and it would not do it. It was lvl 8 at the time.

What are the rules for trading pets if you are a CH without the transfer skill. I thought it was pets under level 15 until a tried to trade a squill tonight at level 1 and it failed.

Only level 15 and lower, Non-agressive pets can be traded without the transfer command.

Did you tame this yourself or was given or sold to you?
I might have known the transfer command. This would have enabled you to trade it.

Hi I got a quick newbie ch question . How do you transfer a pet to someone ? I've tried and it says that their data pad is too full or that they have to many pets. even when they dont have much inventory in the data pad...Thanks

You should be able to trade a non ch pet (a cl 10 or lower non agro pet) via the trade window even if it does not know the transfer command.

You should be able to trade any ch pet (a cl 11 or higher pet) via the trade window if it knows the /transfer command and the person receiving it has the skill to control it.

You will get the error message you described if you are trying to transfer a pet to a person who does not have the skill to control it. For example, trying to trade an agro cl 10 or lower pet to a non ch.

There is a bug now and then where you can trade ch pets in the trade window even if they don't know the /transfer command, but it comes and goes.
