Okay its official I wasted hard earned money.

If your into torturous unfun play then kashysk is for you.

First off its not star wars galaxies it is KOTOR, and kotor done badly. You want to see for yourself take note of all the levels. Yes the planet has freaking levels. Next find yourself a npc with some sob story. Now walk out into the fields. You will enjoy the total lack of movement the compelled PVE and the ever present super stalker from hell phenom. Yeah I can kill the snake, but why its beneath me and its annoying, but you get no choice in the matter you need to turn around and kill it, and maskscent masks squat everything will aggro within fifty meters. Its annoying if that aint enough for your enjoyment most things aggro on you long before they will even show up on radar.

Now here comes the good part you get to walk around walls walls everywhere invisible to the eye but you know they are there. Now I accept that for certain things walls should exist but for pete sakes just let me slip down the dang hill instead or circleing over and over, Its also fun to run away from something smack into a wall.

You want loot you got it everything drops loot. So much infact you will be spending alot of time cleaning stuff out, until you realise the stuff must be totally worthless. Try seeing creatures you want to tame and realize they are not going to have babies, but then again why would you want they are all carbon copies of something else in the game. Hell the devs seemed to have just gotten lazy nameing a few roo roo and kashyk bantha?

I realized after being on the planet an hour that it was a total ripoff of EQ and WOW even up to the cloneing in a graveyard. Filled with cheap AI, and horrid layout. Maybe they can rob super mario next we can just jump through paintings. Even the danged trails which were the most fun aspect I thought were redundant. Fighting one stupid creature after another. My god its combat on rails.

The dungeon I visited was retarded built entirely on a super spawn rather then any strategic element. Not that it mattered everything attacks through walls, and with no auto attack. You end up saying what the hell is hitting me is it this or that. I guess tommorrow I need to jack the graphics on my system way down you know so I can play the game without playing wheres waldo.

Devs take a hint crystal snakes were cheap on yavin and they are cheap on kashysk. Why couldnt they have just given us another real planet. Would that have been so hard. If you havent bought the expansion save some money and go pick up KOTOR its the same thing, but its alot more fun.

I know how you feel man. I didnt even play ROTW yet and I knew that it was gunna be this way. The lack of movement is just like every other MMORPG wher you can t run up a friggen hill. The fighting system sounds very familiar....and on top of that, if you check swgcreatures you will see that long long ago I called that all the creatures on the planet would be the same friggen CRAP on all th other planets... trust me The force told me that making this would have been a bad idea, why couldnt they add a better planet

Like Hoth. That fits into the game. I mean here.. Time frame wise it is correct, Inbetween ep 4 and 5. The rebels have the secret rebel base, so rebel missions and such can come from that base, you can go there recruit and maybe they can add a new profession for it like who knows engineer (control turrets), walker pilot or something. anyway, It would be a huge PVP place too, every week there is a live event where the imperials attack the base, there is a small imperial camp that you can go too. Whoever wins gets bonus exp or faction or something, NPCs and players would be in the event (just like battlefields were) you die your out for that round. It would be fun for everyone. Creature handelers like us could tame taun tauns and other hoth creatures, Big game hunters would go on Wampa hunts in Wampa caves. The planet would be harsh and hard to live on (a differnt looking terrain planet for a change). so no houses on it, but you can place harvesters and hoth would have rare and good minerals for crafters. You cant use a speederbike on the planet. The snow speeder aircraft would be a new ship, maybe add new cloths for tailors like clothes for the cold weather, new Cold res. armor (before the CU) Cold special ability weapons (like swords and such) and new quests and missions.

If you ask me something like that would e fun, When I heard Kashyyk was the new planet I was so disgusted I didnt play galaxies for almost 2 weeks.

No offense to those who enjoy it, but This game is really on the edge of its rope and getting worse by the day.

Hoth doesn't get all the little kiddies who just came out from Revenge of the Sith interested in picking up the game.

Well, my initial impressions of Kashyyk agree with yours. I have not done any missions or quests yet but the restrictive feeling totally blows. Just riding around to get a feel for things and my bike is almost one shotted destroyed out from me. The creatures are a joke and it stands to reason because of this retarded generic level system they imposed. All creatures will be the same just different levels and slap a new skin on it. Another bad part is you have to hyperspace to it, you cannot use the travel terminal for your starship to just travel to the planet. I'm going to try some space missions and see how they are. At least it's open in space and I don't feel like I'm playing dungeons and dragons.

I've already cancelled my account, however it is prepaid so I will continue to try it out until it expires, but so far my impressions are bleh!!

Well though I agree with the EQ2 (not EQ) and WoW similarities I woud like to point out that both those other games have vastly bigger areas of free travel in before you come to zone boundries.

The Graveyard even has a "Spirit Healer" right out of WoW.

I also note that miners on the Wookie world are reduced to hand sampling the resources cause you cant place harvesters anywere we tried and the resource map is the same as it is on other planets and the high concentrations are most often in the green areas on the map were you cant get to. Sigh

Now as to levels there is this lizard that is lvl 55 but fights and dies like a lvl80 so I think they (the DEVs) are not being totally honest with us on that lvl system. I am MCH so that is lvl 55. I have enough pistols that I can hit with about 500 each shot. I have a (now lvl 70) Cragy bulma. the 2 of us could not take that lizard down. She still had 50% health. It was only when I grouped with 3-4 other players were we able to take her out.

BTW I HATE running into invisable walls when I am running for my life.

Well its good news for me

Since I didn't buy it

Glad I didn't waste my money

Feel bad for all the people who did though, I'ts a shame they don't listen to the folks in the forums for ideas, they seem to have little imagination and keep duplicating other pieces of software lately.

Between the buggy, early release of an unfinished CU, and the buggy, early release of this expansion I am seriously starting to feel like I don't want to play this anymore. I can't believe this is what I'm paying for. I know if I gave results to the customers like this at MY job, I would have been fired ages ago.

it is ok, not gret though. The fact that there are zones sucks, totally removes freedom of movement and exploration from this great game.

Oh well, I Still like the game, however it does seem borked.

I knew I hated ROTW when me and some friends tried to get into the hunting grounds, and discovered that you need to be a Tier 4 pilot to complete the mission (or hire one)! WTH is that! I don't even have a real spaceship, just my yacht. It was kind of amusing though sitting in my lounge watching 7 tier 4 fighters attacking us. Got some good pics of that one. =D

I had a simular encounter, I came accross a level 80 krayt I spawned my lvl 69 rancor which when grouped made it an 80 so thats 2 80's against 1 I sent my pet in on it but the second I hit it with my laser rifle it came over and dizzied the heck out and killed me.

Im a master rifleman using an advanced laser rifle that hits for 1056 damage and with a power up that gives it another 29% damage power I also hit it with sniper shot which is a pretty powerful hit, I got about 4-5 of direct hits onit and each hit did about 3k-6k of damage and that things ham barely shown any damage at all. Ive also seen 10k hits from that rifle - It also has a adk on it

to me ROTW was a secret tactic to force people to buy "JumpToLightSpeed" cause ROTW's content seems nothing bigger than a normal publish, while the description for the digital download says "as an added bonus you get JumpToLightSpeed!

so basically by dangling a new planet infront of our faces they will get more people to try the space expansion.

i like the new planet, want to try the quests, but i feel it should have been a publish instead of something i paid for, especially when i already have the space expansion.
