the attack command for you pet is "Kill"

Your command to get the pet to attack without appearing in spatial is :

/tellpet kill

EOF

The /tellpet command is very useful as it not only doesn't spam the spatial area, but it is immune to the spatial delay you have when fighting. If you are firing a Rifle every 6 seconds, your spatial commands will only be said at this 6 second interval. By using /tellpet you bypass this delay and have your command delivered immediately.

This usually bypasses lag areas also. Sometimes /tell or /groupchat is faster than spatial when you are not in combat and using /tellpet for either training or tricks is nice. I have heard it doesn't always work if you use one letter commands like 'a' for attack and 'f' for follow.

It is also useful for making some interesting commands for your pets without actually changing their commands. My example:

I have a Graul and a Graul Mauler out. I /pet them so that they are sitting. I then play this little macro I made.

/say I said NO!;

pause 2;

/tellpet tr1; while sitting Grauls and Rancors will pound the ground with trick 1

/pause 4;

/say That is wrong;

/pause 2;

/say You are not being very good boys;

/pause 2;

/tellpet tr2; while sitting Grauls and Rancors will lean over and cover their eyes.

/pause 4;

/say It will be okay, you just need tolearn, No means no.;

I like using this in Starports when I have 8 minutes to wait, and I can get them to sit. Sometimes it takes a few minutes of either /pet or /hug or /nuzzle to get them to sit down.

I have basic tellpet commands set up as macros as well. Sadly and not sure why but they dont work when I need them to. Anyone else have this problem?

I actually use a few /tellpet macros I saw on this board once.

Attack

/pointat;

/tellpet attack;

This one is good for PVE and looks cool to noobs. You end up pointing at your target and your creature will attack it without any Spatial Bubbles. Good for screenshots as well.

Follow Me

/target (petname);

/beckon;

/tellpet follow me;

This one will target your pet and physically motion it to come here.

Mount and Dismout

/target (petname);

/mount;

/pet;

/dismount;

/pet;

Standard Mounting macro. This can be used on vehicles as well.

Stay

/pet;

pause .1;

/tellpet stay;

This one is good if you don't want your pet to follow you. If you have a spat they will crouch down and wait for you.

For some reason I can only get /tellpet to work if the command has at least 5 letters. For example:

/tellpet a or /tellpet kill won't work for me

/tellpet attack does work very nicely

I also use /tellpet harvest on my droid and it also works very well.

I can only get /tellpet to work in certain situations as well. My attack command won't work if I'm already in combat mode, for example. My trick command will only work if I'm in a spot where I could pull a pet instantly, like a city or camp. If I train with tellpet, it's a 50/50 shot if the commands are actually there or not, even though it says that they've learned it.

/tellpet is also awesome when PVPing cause it is MUCH harder for people to ID the Creature Handler when the bubble of commands are NOT floating over your head and you are in a large group.

LOL

I never really put much thought into mine until I got bored at the Starport and made up that one with my Grauls. I think now I have to start making up other combos. Just wait till I make my trio of Bearded Jax's and have my little kittie Kats run wild in PvP.

I think I will combine the attack with a simple /nod command.

I haven't tried multi-character commands so that may be my problem. I find tellpet has worked fairly reliably for all the animals I've had except the cu pa. She doesn't listen too well anyway and always ignores the stay command. I can have the cu pa and another pet out and say (not tellpet) "st". The other pet will stay the cu pa continues to follow me if I don't pet her.

I have noticed that the mountable pets have a hard time with Stay and Follow from time to time. Just my observation.

I run an obedience school not far from Coronet called Wolfie's House of Pain. I am certified and recognized as the top trainer on my server and I guarantee your pet will listen to you or it will wish it wasn't spawned/bio-engineered. I can whip that cu-pa into top form in a week, and if you need it sooner than that I run a weekend boot camp that is pretty intense. Your pet will be screaming bloody murder and wish it had listened to you from day one. I put the fear of Vader into my pets and have always received great feedback from happy clients. Here's an example from one pleased client.

"Thank Wolfus for whipping my wookie into shape. He never growls anymore, and I always when at chess now. Thanks!" (Han Solo)

So just drop on in and leave your pet for the weekend, for the week, or for good if you please.
