Quick question - how do I name a pet... I thought there would be an option when it grows as much as it can, but I can't figure it out.

First off.. the search option is your friend.... there are 10000 posts on this very thing.

You have to train your pet 4 commands using the name in front of the commandyou're trainingyou want it to have.

You'll have to get Train 1, Empathy 1 or Manage 1 to get the 4th command.

First you need to be able to teach it 4 commands.

Then you need to include a name before the commands four times like this.

sparky stay
sparky attack
sparky store
sparky follow

Make sure you select the appropriate train option for the above commands

it's case sensitive too...

so teh name won't take if you have three lowwer case (sparkie)s and one (Sparkie)

but noobs can't name right off the bat... you have to know atleast 4 commands... if I'm remembering correctly

Yes it's four commands. And there seems to be a name exceptions list applied as well so some names may not take, but most should.

Am I out of my mind here? I can't seem to name any of my droids with a number in their name. Is there a reason for this. I don't want to name any of them R2-D2, but what's wrong with like R2-G7 or something like that? Can any of you get numbers in your droids names? I end up having to use roman numerals.

Unfortunately we can't put numbers into our droid names unless we spell them out. More proof that droids were an afterthought of Raph Koster's "Kreeture King" MMORPG.

My own R3 droid is named "Arthree-PeePee".

train it in 4 different commands with the pets name at the beginning.

Train follow me as:

/say Bob follow

Train attack at:

/say Bob kill

Train two more commands with Bob at the beginning and your pet will display Bob over its head. You can then retrain those commands to your normal command (without the name) and he will keep Bob over his head.

I have just started naming mine. THe idea is to 'train' your pet with four commands, with their name being first...

For example:

to name your pet rover...

(a) to train for store.... /say rover store (until the pet learns it)

(b) to train for attack... /say rover attack (until the pet learns it)

(c) to train for trick... /say rover trick (until the pet learns it)

(d) to train for follow me... /sat rover heel (until the pet learns it)

after the pet learns the fourth instruction, it will learn it's name... You must then reteach it the shorter instructions for the 4 commands, but the name will stay...
