You need the ability to train four commands, if you want to do it yourself. If you can't do this, any CH with one or more boxes past Novice can do it for you. What you do is train them four different commands in a row starting with the name you want to give them, so it would be like

Bob attack

Bob trick

Bob group

Bob follow

or whatever. After it learns the fourth command, you'll see your pet think its name in a bubble (Bob?) and its name will change. You can now retrain it to whatever you wanted the command to be originally, and it will keep the name.

Pets can eat anything that you can. And you can give any non-CH mountable to a CH to train for you as long as its of a proper size. If its a CH-level mountable, it will need to know the transfer command.
