Ok I'll start with the bad then tell the good.

Bad

1. CH does not count toward player CL or Health. I have known this for a few days now since I saw a QA guy with MCH skills spawn and tame a bull rancor (baby) right in front of me and he only had a CL of 4. (He made me promise not to tell)

Good

1. Novice level pets fromt he frog are on par with novice level weapons in terms of DPS

2. CH XP gains have changed. I used a CL10 petagainst a CL67 critter and got like 800 CH XP but I only got 700 against the same critter using a CL5 pet, using that same CL5 petvs a CL4 Corillian Butterfly I got 100 CH XP, using a CL10 pet against a CL7 got me 130, and using a CL5 petagainst a CL7 got me 150.

Theres all the info I got right now. As soon as the server is back up I'll have more

Well, my CH/Ranger certainly is gimped if there's no health bonus. I figured CH would get it since we got honorable mention in the design docs. Hopefully this will change as part of the beta process.

We might be joining rangers in the protest department if they don't remember we're a combat prof...

Joker9125 are absolutely sure about this? First, we have not been able to test any CH levels yet, and scout definitely does not add to the Health bar. So how are you determining this that it doesn't add to your health bar. If it is because as you kill things with you pets that you don't see it going up, again we have not been able to test any CH levels yet, so it would not show up at this point. In essence it is like your bot killing them, it will not count toward your health bar increase or any weapon level increase, which does directly help you health bar.

If you are certain of this did you get it from current Docs that are out, or from some direct quote from a Dev? I do not think we can test this yet on TC 5 until they open up the Elite Professions, and we are considered a combat profession so we should add to the health bar just like any other combat profession. If this proves true it will be a major blow to those of us who are M CH's and Rangers, because Ranger for sure does not add to the health bar. If this proves true anyone who wants to keep ranger will be forced to reduce their CH or give it up, and those that don't will be forced to take as much other combat profession as possible to get their Health up to a viable level, especially since we need to stay close to our pets in tough fights thus exposing us to a lot more risk of heavy damage.

Just my 2 cents worth.

That should answer any questions you have reguarding weather or not I am mistaken about CH adding CL or Health. And if we caint train CH yet then how did I get novice?

If we are a combat prof, this should count towards health. 2 elite combat profs and you can max at the 3000 health. Are you saying that MCH will not count as 1 of those combat masters? If so that is not bad, that SUCKS! It was my understanding we could not test higher lvl professions yet. ??

I would also assume then our pets will no longer count towards mission levels if grouped, and all that work to fix this a few publishes ago was either a front to apease us or the work done by Vert TH and a few others was for nothing. a month or two of increased missions.

Jol

The trainers are out for elites

Joker is a nov ch even the nov box should have raised his level and health considering mine will raise with just a marksman box.

Let me try and explain the math. Since CH now is supposed to have a DPS on par with all the other elite master combat professions IT WOULD BE TO UNBALANCING TO HAVE SOMEONE WITH TWICE THE DPS HAVE THE SAME HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that clears that up

Ohh and they just opened up elite trainers today. Still no frogs though.

Why do you assume that? IMHO our pets CL is supposed to make up for ours.

You don't seriously believe that our DPS will be the same as everyone else's do you? If their leaving in the jedi PvE modifer, even with their damage type nerf and other things, our DPS won't matter at all, so having it be equal to another prof shouldn't be justification to make us have less health than everyone else besides ranger.
