*NOTICE* This is in no way a claim to a bug or exploit of any kind.
What I was thinking was that the Creature Handler profession should get together with the Merchant/Artisan profession and developpe a way to sell pets via vendors since it doesn't seem that the DEVs will listen to us.
My idea: make dice, or something very insignificant and easy to build in massive quantities. Label them as whatever the pet name is, then the price. Put stats on it if that's possible and such. Then, just have a little sign that says, send yourname a tell and he will meet you and exchange the pet. Then, you meet the person, they show you the die, you sell pet. Of course, one would have to be careful of forged dice, just have to customize them enough, maybe even write down serial numbers.
Any suggestions on how to make this smoother?

Haha, we still run into a problem of storage space... but this may help. What do others think?

Who's going to buy a pet from a Creature Handler when Bio-Engineer pets exceed them in every way, including being buyable direct from the vendor without having to arrange a meeting that may need to cross time zones?

Can't you put data on a vendor? I know there was a category for pets, is it bugged? I know droids still don't go in their category.

To combat the forgery, you could put an item on the vendor crafted by the creature handler himself, with his/her name listed as the object creator. As creature handlers we can all craft tents or traps with even novice scout skills without taking up any other skill trees.

I dunno, if i was a buyer I would be pretty apprehensive buying a camp that claims ill get an animal for it. The potential for theiving on the part of the CH is pretty high.

the tent or trap is sold for 1 credit. If the CH does not make good, they loose rep and the buyer is out 1 credit only.
Then wwhen the meeting is arranged, the actual price is met in the trade window.

Yeah, tents/traps sounds good. I would like to see what Vert has to say about this. I know that BEs can make pets that are better in some ways. However, it would give us the chance to put certain pets that BEs cannot make, or even rare pets on vendors.

Maelas you are wonderful! Not only have you sat in your thinking chair but you must be a master of the noodle dance. *Laugh* I’m sorry I am a parent and I couldn’t help myself. I will begin using your method right now. I will keep you all posted about the results I get. I love new ways of making credits!

Someone who is trying to find a fully grown and trained pet, especially a non-ch bio pet.

To add to this:
Have you ever noticed how Tailors - armoursmiths etc / advertise. Instead of making it an sale - they put it in as an auction which can't be bid on. CH's could do the same - make the dice= put it in the auctions for 6000 credits and have all of the information in the description - what kind of pets you have for sale and how much - will hunt and tame what you wish - send tell to **** This way you could avoid having any false sales and such and you wouldn't have to sit outside of the starports with your pets.
Just a thought to add
