Everyone is leaving CH for TKA or Commando, or Rifleman! So this class isn't good for PvP, but does that mean the class is done for? I like being a CH, but if everyone else leaves, then whats the fun.
Should they buff us up a bit? If so, with what? I think BE's should be able to make 90-95% Kinetic resis pets, along with 90-95% energy resis. But not on the same creature. You could have pets that are good against TKA, and some that are good against other classes.
How could they improve this class in PvP or other aspects?

The big problem PvP wise is people do full damage to our pets, but our pets do reduced PvP damage back.
Even if people did do reduced damage to them, the damage from a pet once it's reduced by the PvP modifier and armor is way too weak.
When it comes to PvP, CH isn't even a support profession, it's just a circus
About the only people left as CHers are CH because they like the class, cause there are much more effective combat classes out there.
Welcome to TKM Wars...

they do full damage on our pets? Well theres the reason! I just picked up CH yesterday. I used to be almost a master but got bored with it. I never did PvP when I was a CH the first time. I knew we sucked for PvP but I didnt know it was because people do full damage to our pets. that sucks.

No everyone is not leaving, just the power gamers for whom it is essential that they are the uberest class.
Maybe they will be back once TKA and Commando feel the nerf bat?

I think the devs should buff the ch proff. some. First though they need to fix the special attacks on the be pets. They need to work ALL the time. When i use my carbine i expect it to work everytime, so should our pets special attacks. I have yet to have any special attack from a be pet to work.Attacks like dizzy and knockdown would make pets much more viable in pvp. Then allowing be's to give our tamed pets special attacks would be cool, or some kind of system where your pet gains exp. that eventually turns into pts. you can use to buff your pet could be a cool idea.

I dropped TKM for CH.
Why?
Content. At lest with CH i dont get board looking for rares or new critters.
I dont get board exploring new places searching for new pets.
It is the only profession that brings content with it.
I actually stand a chance without owning in PvE, the challange is back.
TKM is for pusses who want it easy.
I am the W|tnezz and I am a CH !

Not everyone is leaving. Those of us that enjoy what little is left of CH are still here. I'm fighting in PVP with my pets every day and I'm still out there looking for new pets to own. I haven't let anything dissuade me from my current template. I may not be uber-PVPer but I do damage and I can hang in a group just fine with my pets. PVE isn't a problem at all because I have mostly BE pets I use now. It's sad, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm also a collector of sorts. I have a nice collection of pets---to rival any CH on my server. As the numbers dwindle there are newcomers wanting to reach the pinnacle of MCH. These newcomers don't know the plight as we do, but they will find out the weaknesses just the same eventually. I like my profession, otherwise I'd be changing to something different. As long as I enjoy MCH I'll be one of the few left on my server that are true MCH, not jedi seekers. When I finally do leave MCH it will be because I will have spent every last ounce of interest I have in it.

Greetings,
I am surprised how many players still assume we are "uber" due to our pets, even in regards to PVP. I have never liked PVP much but am glad there are those who do. However, few people really know, even Master Creature Handlers, that our pets take a full beatingwhile only doing partial damage.
I do my best tolet that the people I meet knowthis is going on. Many people simply say, "Huh, I was never aware of that." Woe to those who PVP with their pets when I am around and they start whining when a TKM slaughters them in less than 5 seconds.
It's hard to see how the class can be improved if few know the plight. Rather than gaining support for such a change, all we would be is berated for our desire. My fear is that should we become viable PVP'rs again, we will just get the nerf criers going. Just my 2 credits.
Good Luck to All,
Ariekb

Neither do I. Getting rid of the power gamers is a good thing. Unless we've managed to convert them into recreational gamers, and not twitch monkeys, and they stay with CH because it's fun.
