Thread: MCH VS any player with a driod
)has one and it is far superior to any of the pets i have, mostly because it can be restored to full health quickly, and it stays under control..where pets (even placid be ones)go off on thier wild sprees and die rapidly..and take substantially longer to heal
CH was hit hard by the new combat system. Our pets were given so many new bugs after the cu, that is outragous. Coupled with the existing pre cu bugs, it made me want to cry.
I do not see how CH is viable anymore. I used to like them for the added dps, and the ability for them to tank for me when I went out solo. Now, I do not need them. As a MBH/Master Rifles with some pistols, I can take out mobs that are lvl 80 and down with little worry without the hassle of all the bugs that prevelent with pets.
my friend you need to get yourself a few k's of some high quality fishmeat and find a MBE and get some better petstims.

conclusion everyone can have all the benifits of mch combat for 0sp..sure an mch can pull 3 pets, any putz with a driod, only one..great trade off for 78 sp..
this has been bothering me...i am mch/mrifle..i have no abilty to root a mob, i play most of the time with a mpistols/ranger, who has traps and root..the 2 of us can handle most anything..my friends driod is far more effective than any of my pets for pulling mobs
so if i chose too i could bet a driod, lose ch, get a root shot and have sp left over...i would still have all the tactical advantages of mch, and a lot more combat skills
am i the only one who feels this is wrong?
i used to be a MCH too, but with the CU (AKA CH nerf episode II) i respeced to mBH/mCarbineer/pistoleer
now i can solo anything up to any single lvl 83 or small groups of lvl 80 without pets or driods.
just need good stim D's and ruby bliel.
so now i'm CL 80 and unless i'm harvesting resources for my BE or doing a quest, i find myslef in space....because i really hate pvp.
I"ve played WoW, and it sucks far worse than Swg ever thought about sucking. after your insane grind to lvl 60 all you do there is camp uber mobs for new gear and loot or gank other players who are less uber than you......sorry /rant off.

right so at the moment ch is between a pre curb driod, that required no adjustment of its stats, and abysmally pathetic..i think we are closer to the latter
i liken a de to a be in that they both produce "pets"..the difference being that ch's have to expend 78 sp to use be products (based on master ch) and anyone can use a droid at 0 sp
the pets SHOULD be BETTER than the driods..but right now it's just a moot point because both are terrible, so being margianlly better than the other is no victory..
a pre curb driod is better atm then a mch pet..but neither lasts very long agains high end mobs..if you don't believe me go to the avatar , or the blackscale compound and see for yourself..i think this is wrong..78 sp deserves better than this..just my opinion

Stop crying nerf all the time, it's people like you who ruined creature handler the first time around.
Droids have been designed as a viable combat aid, not some useless piece of scrap metal. They are hard to keep healed, costly to repair, and can be easily killed. Just because your droid has 6K life doesn't mean it is better than your pets, unless your droid damage is like 140-350 it will not be out damaging a level 70 pet. Heck, my swamp stalkers out damage all of my droids.
Droids don't need to be 'rebalanced' they are useful, to everyone. EVEN a mch.
So either learn to use your droid asa wee bit ofextra helpor sit quietly and stop complaining.

No one I have seen on our server has devoted as much time and study to the Ch profession as Hoss, I won't stand for disrespecting him.
He IS the reason I stayed and I have alot of respect for his skills and abilities as well as intuition.

if you READ what i said , i'm asking what are we getting for 78 sp that anyone can't get for 0..i'm not saying driods are too strong, they a quite the opposite, but they are still superior, for tactical combat than a mch pet, the precurb ones anyhow..
you point to damage as an advantage, which leads me to assume you don't fight high end mobs, so mabey you don't understand what i am trying to get across..the damage done by a pet/droid is negligble when you are talking 100-300 againt a mob with 35k ham..the pet/driod's function is crowd control, not damage..move the mob away from the other 35k health mobs..
prior to pub 17 pets were no longer damage dealers, and no longer tanks..so crowd control was the only aspect left under the curb's newly defined roles...for a while we COULD move mobs around and the pets would respond to commands..they could take a few hits and not incap...pub 17 took this away..now driods respond better in this role..so what are we left with for 78 sp?
not damage, not tanking, not crowd control...
i guess if you want to hunt grey cons all day at 1xp..then ch is wonderful..but if you want to kill high end mobs..it is effectively useless..and this upsets me...hopefully this will be adressed in pub 18...but i am not optimistic
