This is the absolute last thing CH's need. Of all the problems with our profession, making a pharple tamable is plain ludicrous. Go ahead and flame me. I'd much rather have us fixed for pvp, increase the rares, or any of the other numerous problems with our profession fixed, then have a critter I will never tame, and have no use for, in my already limited datapad. Frankly, I am amazed at how many signed that petition. Might explain why there are so few creature handlers around. Maybe there are a dozen MCH's on my server, maybe. Go ahead, one star me. I'm glad our correspondent is wise enough to see the absurdity in the pharple petition, we've been nerfed enough as it is....

I couldnt agree more...well I could but I dont want to. What you have to understand is that alot of people have givin up on PVP with pets. So the only thing that remains is perks and PVE. Obviously some people think a Pharple is a good perk/play pet wether as a good joke or for RP reasons. Personaly I would rather see the pharple skin added to the BE so you could have a good Pharple.

were it not that your post history has made it absolutely clear that you have contributed almost nothing towards the creature handler profession or the forumsbesides random 1-2 line posts, and a few posts repeating things that people have already said, one might have thought this would be something besides a topic made just to piss people off.

Different people take up the Creature Handler profession for different reasons. Some are doing it purely to augment their combat skills, some are doing it for the adventure of discovering and collecting exotic pets, some are doing it just for the roleplay factor, and many other variations. You assign no value to pharple ownership whatsoever... but to another player, it might be far morefun than PvP.

A lot of the high ranking things on our list are pretty weighty requests (balance us for PvP, continue working on autostoring, balance wild vs. BE pets, etc). I don't think the pharple request is a top five item by a longshot. But I don't see the harm in folks expressing support for it.

that's obviously because there's no chance we'll get any changes related to pvp until the combat rebalance, so what point is there asking for things NOW, as opposed to seeing how bad off we are in the rebalance, and THEN asking for changes based on that data? considering if we got something now, it'd just be completely changed anyway come the rebalance.

So the only thing that remains is perks and PVE.

the devs made it perfectly clear that we will not be changed in pve, because we were already changed in preparation for pve after the rebalance. thus we are left with perks or minor fixes.

at such point it would be a changeto bio-engineers moreso than creature handlers, thus killing the point. and bio-engineers already got all of their attention, it's going to be a while before anything gets added to them.

I don't care for pvp never have. I enjoy the pve and the exploring for babies both rare and not so rare. All the nerf did to me was insult my babies which is why I want it changed...they were happier when they were tougher. Since I have been a MCH a long time I feel like a tard for asking this but gonna anyways. What the devil is a pharple and where are they so I can see what it is ppl want them for lol.

And as far as ppl telling each other what they should and shouldn't like or want........well nm we each like this prof for different reasons....play it to enjoy it....I do

they're dopey little birds that hobble around randomly on lok, they wereonly ever really there for entertainment anyway, no reason why they shouldn't be tamable.

i must agree they do seem very pointless, but at the same time funny, i'm newish to the CH profession but i think making more creatures (even if they are pathetic amusments) tamable fun, i've had a friend of mine asking me to get him one of these just so he can have the silly lil thing follow him lol

Sry digi, but I've been a CH from the beginning. Read all my posts, I'm no flamer...I've always been a MCH. I never did the Hologrind. I just don't share the overwhelming support for a pharple baby that most everyone else has. If you are ever on Corbantis, you will see me with the Helper tag on. I've assisted plenty of people who want to be CH's. I get tells from people all the time asking me to train their mount. Which I do regardless of whether or not they pay me. I take the time to show new CH's the way to use their pets in combat, and they best way to get xp. Ido this because I enjoyhelping people and I want to see CH a viable profession on it's own.

Please explain to me how having a pharple babywill help our profession? I would really like to know. Please explain to me how having this one tame, willmake being a CH a viable profession that can stand on it's own? I was a CH before the nerf, so I know how strong it once was. Please, someone tell me, what's the point to having the dev's spend their very limitied time to make a pharple baby going to help us? Is this what our profession has sunken to? Are we really Vanity Pet Owners and nothing else?

Sry, but I just don't share the view of the majority in regards tothis. I'd much rather see the pvp reduction fixed, then a pharple baby. I'd much rathersee us be able to sell the pets we tame on vendors, than a pharple baby. But I would really like for someone to explain the rationale and thought process behind thedemand for ababy pharple and how they think it will help our profession, and help attract others to becoming CH's again....just my thoughts..no2

I also realize that muchof the demand forthe pharple is borne out of the frustrationthat we have been nerfed so badly. But if we don't take ourselves seriously, then why should the devs?

The pharple petition is one small example of the majority of the CH community wanting a wdier variety of tameables as we have been promised in the past. That is the rationale, and dropping it for the sake of bug fixes and other such things that should have been implimented months ago is giving these developers even less reason to make some actual progress with this profession...

I'm a novice creature handler on Valcyn, just started it last night. I'm a straight PvE player. I don't PvP, it just doesn't interest me. I took up CH for many of the reasons previously stated by another poster. The adventure of discovering new creatures(and appreciated them for their strengths and weakneses). The companionship is nice. The assistance in battle is awesome(even ifI don't really need it), and the profession is all around fun.

So, to the originator of this thread, if you have no interest in a pharple as a pet, the solution to your dilemma is very simple. DONT TRAIN ONE. Let the OPTION to have a pharple be available to those who want it.

And besides the above stated reasons, making pharples tameable would take how long? 15 mins to get into the database and set "Tameable" to YES, set a baby spawn rate and compile that into the next patch or hotfix (if the client is affected with this kind of changes at all)?
